I don't think it matters who the player is , fans will always find something trivial to put against every player.. With Sammy it's the hair and I have to say with Murphy , for me it's the white boots.. I hate white boots in general as it makes players look flat footed.. Murphy might be a bit better than early impressions and will surely feel on a high after scoring the winner today so it probably would be wise to try and let him build some momentum and play in our next game.. Overall his contribution was decent , he looks predictable , a little rushed at times but felt he linked up well at times and did some effective jobs like winning headers.. Should have done better from the two or three half chances he had from open play (A header in the first half and two shots in the 2nd half) that I can think off , but it's a starting point for him to feel settled and grab the opportunity..

Murphy is very average, there is nothing special about him at all. He is slow, is one footed, he's not the best finisher either.

He tries, and is ok in the air and IMO is not good enough to be in the first team but would be ok as a squad player.

We need to get a striker in now, splash the cash, there is 12 to spend!!

was a bit too slow and off the pace for my liking today, but scored the penalty that won us the game so cant fault him for that. maybe that will give him the confidence boost needed to start presenting.

Murphy will not nor should be a regular first team player, because if he was you can tell Rangers just to keep the vSPL title, and here I will include Samaras!

Over a season you need more than 11 players to win a league title.. It doesn't matter if Murphy forces his way into the team as a starter , he's a new signing and he will get played at times , for certain.. If he can contribute with goals when we need them then he will do for me..

didn't think he contributed much apart from penalty but was very calm with the penalty took it well and it was the winning goal so he will probably be quite pleased with his debut

Dunno how close to match sharpness he is but thought he looked slow & his touch was poor the day. He almost tripped taking the pen!

Didn't understand why Maloney didn't step up for the penalty but fair play to Murphy, stepped up to it and took it well. Still desprately need another striker in, as I don't think Murphy/Samaras is good enough while Hooper is out.

i thought the big man looked good today as he said in the interview after the game he just needs to take the chance sometimes in following in to the six yard box for tap ins might be the big rough guy up front we have been looking for in such days as today away from home were we can get bullied sometimes but overall a plus from me today :50:

He played his part in getting 3 points, if he keeps doing that he's worth 1.5m. I would like to see some improvement but.
