    I don't think Cardiff can afford him the Welsh press must have heard he was going to train there and immediately jumped to conclusions so hopefully we can still get him however i'm not as optimistic as I was.

    I'd be extremely disappointed in Bellamy if he chose Cardiff over us... I'm also trying to get my head round the numbers - the top Championship players earn something similar to our top players - 25k-35k.. Wonder if Cardiff are going to be contributing sillyish money.

    Cardiff are not in the best position financially and I think if they could afford him then a deal would be done by now or nearing completion.

    Celtic are still in the hunt, we really just need to wait and see what develops over the next few days. I would think we will know where he is going by the end of the week - fingers crossed it's us!!

    Maybe Man City are looking for the club who are loaning him to pay more also maybe in 6months to 1 year with some purchase value a club that could afford to buy him. Cardiff arent in that position i doubt they could fill the vending machines at their training ground nevermind buy a player.

    on ssn cardiff say they have had no contact with man city regards bellamy,not unless bells knows something will happen,but as it stands he is still up for grabs,if not i hope you have someone else lined up lenny

    It's also to be noted that Cardiff are most likely to have another transfer embargo placed on them soon for their debts. They will look to strengthen quickly. They may push out all the stops to get Bellars, who wants to be near his family, before they are once again restricted to their current team. Bellamy is a multi millionaire, money will not be a deciding factor in this transfer/loan.

    As far as I know, Celtic are the only team to have reached an agreement with Man City for the player.
