Paying millions for a new stand and a retractable roof wouldn't decrease ticket prices, if anything the opposite would happen.

No, just expand the south stand at some point in the next 25 years.

Silly thread we have a world class stadium. Just up the north stand if you really need the extra capacity but we dont . If we close the north stand now to get the work done the stadium still wouldnt be full.

Not for me. 80,000 fans you are having a laugh!
Just merged the old main stand into the rest of the current stadium , that would do me!!!

The 'old' stand cannot be replaced anyway, as it is heritage listed. It can be modified, but there are restrictions as to the extent of these. Can't believe people are not happy with Celtic Park. 60 000 capacity is right up there with the biggest in the whole of British football, not to mention the costs involved in any such extension, and atm, we are not even filling it as is.

Some people live in fantasy land, they really do.

Sorry I misunderstood you, I thought you meant if we made the capacity bigger the ticket prices would drop due to increased sales.

I would rather that we spent money on the team. Better transport links around the ground would also help but that's down to Glasgow City Council.

Everyone saying there's too much history at Parkhead, it'll need to be replaced sometime, we can't stay in the same stadium forever.

Yeah I'd like a new stadium cos frankly getting access to this one is * murder!
However we can't fill the current one, so no point.

Why would we want to move when the Area on our doorstep is being develpoped and will soon have world class sporting facilities. Celtic Park has the potential for redevelopment and improvement, we went through the moving discussion a long time ago "Cambuslang" we didn't want it then and don't want it now!

Half the team is on loan, we can't keep Kean, TV revenue in the SPL has gone through the floor...

yeah, let's spend millions building a stadium so we can intimidate St Mirren with empty seats
