He's a guy I mentioned before he would've a great signing for us and properly exactly what we need up front. P.v.hooydonk esk and he's went for 1m. Surely out scouts were alerted to that price and that he was looking for a move?

    3. They don't buy players, they develop their own.
    4. Sell their young stars for huge dollars to Europe.

The Brazilian league is easily the most financialy sustainable in the world.

They've got a manager and they paid 8 million for him.

Barring Nzonzi, their owners try their hardest to get a lot of money for their players and they won't sell for less.

He needs a target man to play along side anyway so he wouldn't be too much use here as it stands imo.

How does rhodes need a target man? He isnt playing along side this season and hes still one of the top scorers in the championship.

Throw in a player who isn't quite making it plus a large amount I'd love to see him and hooper as a partnership. Oooof

I've watched about 5/6 of their games with my bird, chatted to her family about him.....they say he never holds the ball up and does * all for 80 mins then gets one chance and converts it.....I've witnessed it myself.

If we played him in Europe, we'd create very little as the ball would come straight back.

H'field played a target man up top beside him and made them do all the work holding the ball up....their fans say he contributed very little from open play.

The reason he's scored so many is because he's a great finisher and needs maximum two chances to score a goal.

But I wouldn't want him here......he's not got any pace for balls over the top and he's not particularly strong either.

If he works on his all-round game, he'll go on to become a very good player though......apparently Blackburn fans all recognise he's a great finisher but there is a debate over whether or not he should even start as a fair few think his inability to hold up the ball is that detrimental to their play that they think playing Kazim Richards or Leon Best when he's back from injury will benefit the team better overall.

Similar to playing Gomez or Klose for Germany.....my German mate says a lot want Klose to start because he contributes more and isn't just a finisher.....the game has changed due to most teams playing one up front and the Robbie Fowler type player who's just a poacher isn't as useful anymore.

That was a bit of a long-winded answer but even with his potential, there'd be no way I'd want us to pay anywhere near 8 million for him.

Chris Wood cost 2 million and he's just as good, if not better imo.

I think we should look at brek shea who plays for fc dallas in the MLS and for USA. He is young fast and powerful also scores a good amount of goals for a winger. I think he is going to turn out to be a great player.
