I would say so as well, however lets not roll out the bunting for them just yet, they have to help Tony build and mold the team into what he wants and not what the board want.

The other point I would make is out of the 'candidates' I think Tony is the best, at least he has some premiership experience, what did Coyle have?

Welcome Mogga, here's to many successful years in charge of the Famous Glasgow Celtic.

Granty will be creaming himself just now.

Least thats that sorted, hopefully he's starting in the next week and sorting stuff out.

And to Mityboosh as far as I know the shareholders dont get paid out but the directors get a pay out which between them is usuall just under £1m a season.

celtic get green light to speak to tony mowbray

    Paul Cuddihy
CELTIC today confirmed that they have been given the green light to speak to Tony Mowbray with a view to appointing him the new Celtic manager.

Celtic Chairman John Reid said: "We can confirm that we have reached an agreement in principle with West Bromwich Albion Football Club and have been given permission to speak to Tony Mowbray and his backroom staff.

"These are complex but important negotiations and we can assure our supporters that we continue to aim to get the right man for the job in the right way."

    I'm excited :icon_mrgreen:

I just hope he's as big a success as Strachan, we all know the football he'll play will be enjoyable to watch but it's up to him to turn that into trophies.

    Welcome Mogga!

Great news. With Mowbray and Grant in place, along with Lennon hopefully, none of the players should be in any doubt as to what it means to play for Celtic.

Looking forward to some fantastic football during the coming season.

    Best of luck Tony!!!

Realistically mate, who else could we have got? And please think about that from the point of the Board. That is to say every manager in the world could have been available but if you are not willing to pay............
