    2012

    Taken from todays sun newspaper.

"IT could take four years for the experiment to bring doomsday, say some scientists. By co-incidence the ancient Mayan calender finishes then, on December 21, 2012.

The vast majority of scientists say it won't happen. Self Proclaimed experts used to believe the world was flat, the moon was made of cheese and England would win the 2006 world cup.

Scientist Otto Rossler tried to get the European court to ban the tests. He warns: "Nothing will happen for at least four years. Then the weather will change completely, wiping out life. There will be a Biblical Armageddon".

Is this what all the 2012 prophecies are all about?

Man will be his own downfall.

All gettin too weird really. Poor lassie, it's them that's a bit naive who're the worst affected by the hype and the worry.

Most of us think it's all kinda funny, the hype.....right?

The Sun is as silly as ever.

Are we really putting sports pundits, folk logic and science on the same level? I cant even begin to comprehend the daftness a journalist that writes that drivel on a computer and puts it on the internet.

Rossler knows * all about physics -- he's a biochemist. That's not even the side of chemistry that has a lot of overlapping material with physics.
It's like picking Michael Jordan to be the next Newcastle manager.
