Aye his right foot was honking, massive frustration of mine is when theres nothing on up the line and a full back cant come inside and play into a strikers feet with their weaker foot, should be a prerequisite of being a professional footballer.

Aye, flaws like that will be detected by opposition managers and exploited. If you know it's a weakness then you're going to always show them on to it.

Taylor’s defending is * exceptional by the way, not something I’ve really seen mentioned so far but his timing of a tackle and especially his positioning is * excellent.

Aye, he's far more switched on at the back than either Boli or Hayes; albeit that's maybe a bit harsh on Hayes who was only recently asked to fill in there.

I'm old school and like defenders to defend, first and foremost. I get that overlapping full backs are great to watch and an important part of us breaking down teams but not at the expense of not being aware of the danger in behind.

For that reason, Taylor is my preferred LB and Elhamed my preferred RB. If we can get them both fit and onto the pitch in a back 4, I could see us looking a lot stronger defensively.

Inreckon he’d be fine with the overlapping, he has a dangerous cross. Just in a LWB role you’re expected to create those opportunities yourself most of the time.

If asked to choose my left back it would be Taylor before Boli - everytime

This, even last night in the second half there was a couple times where he overlapped mcgregor and got his cross in. One thing I like he always seems to try and find someone in the box rather than just aimlessly lump it in.

Its fairly obvious he lacks that little bit of pace to go past his man and carve out the crossing chance for himself, but when we do go with a 4 I've got no doubt at all he'll contribute massively going forward.

In the past couple of Scotland games when he played left back in a 4 he looked excellent going forward, ended up with 2 or 3 assists aswell.

He's good in the air as well I think even though he is probably only taller than Dembele in the whole squad, he gets up well and attacks balls in the air.

I quite like what i've seen of him, for me he hasn't had a bad game, the Hamilton one was his worst but it was only really as he didn't get beyond their full-back and played the ball back to McGregor too much, on the ball he always kept possession, never really got troubled or done anything wrong.

He has decent close control on the ball, passes and crosses well and is hardworking. Doesn't have great pace but is quite quick and defends well. He also does get forward a lot also, when we played 4-2-3-1 he made a few runs into the box and could have scored a couple of times in his first few games. Since the switch to 3-5-2 though he hasn't really been in the box and has stayed more wide where he does struggle to beat a man when he has them squared up.

Arguably MOTM tonight, for some reason the game has become a bit of a blur to me but he was a great outlet the whole game down the left on and off the ball making runs. McGregor played really well as well I thought.

I've been unsure of him but I think tonight he was top notch.

The more games he gets and the more time he spends building his game with our coaches etc I reckon he will be just fine for us.

    Seems a likeable guy.

Hes a very tidy player, really fast feet with the ball, and great distribution. His pace let's him down a bit and yes he wont skin too many players but we have an abundance of them. I'm sure he will also improve, looking like a decent signing

His distribution of the ball is better than Tierney. He's not as dynamic a player but under pressure in his own half, he seems to have a calmness that KT lacked, which puts the team under pressure at times.

I like Taylor. I feel he brings a balance to the side in a similar way to McGregor.

I remember in the early days of Boli when he as a bit erratic you could see McGregor making a point of being in certain safe positions and verbally demanding the pass from Boli to stop him playing the ambitious forward passes all the time.

Boli needs that guidance but Taylor doesn’t. He seems to get it and it’s something you can’t teach. Really promising.

Thing I really like about Taylor last night was Naismith trying to be the hard man several times with him, he got up and gave it right back to the wee * no * about. He bring a lot of dig and fight that Boli doesn’t have, if Taylor had Boli’s pace and size he’d be world class.
