Beat Spurs 2-1 in first leg of QF's...

8 clear cut chances, 6 half, woodwork 3 times...gutted I didn't pump em. Haaland is a smashing striker but he is the Andy Cole of this year's game. Misses buckets of chances...

Hungover today so managed to finish off my second season today.

Won the treble (unbeaten in the league) and got the semi final of the champions league (got horsed by eventual winners Real Madrid).

I persisted with both Mikey Johnston and Karamoko Dembele all season and both have been excellent.

My standout players were Ntcham, Gumny, Ajer and Edouard. I would also give a special mention to Sekou Koita who i used as rotation for Edouard and used as a sub who scored 18 goals in 24 games.

Dont really have any weakness in my team so i wouldnt expect any changes in June. However, there is a good few loan players who have had brilliant season who I will need to assess mainly Luca Connell who has been SPL young player of the year and Hearts player of the year and Louis Munteanu (also at Hearts) who was the top scorer in the SPL.

I also have Elias Machuca joining in the summer (i agreed the deal in January of the first season) who I think will slot straight into defence.

I might buy this although I always worry it will turn me into a zombie and stop me reading.

If I was going to manage some teams my list would probably be Eastern European dominated as it would be great to get a team from there to win the CL again for first time since Red Star (1991) and Steaua (1986) or when Zenit/Shaktar won the Europa League a few years ago. I wont play as Zenit though as their fans are borderline Nazis.

I like leagues like the Ukranian league as it forces you to use a majority of native players or restricts Non EU (like Serbian I think). Dynamo Kyiv are probs more of a challenge but their fans are far right apologists where as Shaktar was the Miners team and has a good Brazilian core.

    Teams on my list
Steaua/FCSB - not won the league or 3 to 4 years. Good youth system. Having to win tbe league with no money is an interesting challenge.

Red Star Belgrade- best youth system in Eastern Europe, good experienced core of players, good derby vs Partizan and competitive.

Levski Sofia - They were Bulgarias top side until 2006 but fell way off since then. Can you get them back to greatness in domestic and european competitions?

Bate Borisov/Mink - Belarus. Looks interesting.

Hadjuk Split - fallen giants in Croatia.

Brondby - fallen giants in Denmark

Athletic Bilbao - favourite Spanish team.

Marseille and Benfica (boss academy) also look interesting to me

Sold Rogic to Napoli for 44m, now after a season they're prepared to sell him back at a cut price of 15m and they'll pay some of his wages...:56:

    * wants over 100k a week, so * that. Got 20m taken off me by board greedy * shareholders and a massive tax bill much the same...yet we've got 2 bank loans to pay off. Dafuq. They even took one out for 1.2m this season when I had over 100m in bank when season ended.

I think I'll give playing as Celtic a miss.

Decided to do my traditional non-Celtic save with United and got sacked after 16 games. The board wants CL football and I was only 3 points off that target yet they decided to chop me anyways. Club is dung. Very much mirrors real life.

Aren't teams from same nation supposed to be kept separate? Weird one.

Just got the game yesterday. Not had it since 2011 haha. Just looking for a few recommendations for players in the under 4 million bracket or even a few players that you always go for every save cheers

    Just downloading.

Going straight in with a lower league England save.

A Celtic save too, good to chill out and have fun with while watching something on telly.

Persist with Taylor, Frimpong, Connell, Johnstone, and Dembele. Best talent at the club, imo.

Has anyone had an issue of the game skipping calender games. Such as you play win and then game does not record as played

I'd agree with this, although for me Taylor and Frimpong don't become quite good enough to be long term starters - Connell,Johnston and Dembele certainly do.

Hepburn is one to persist with as well.

I think Taylors one of the best left backs you could have at Celtic.

    Taylor is extremely good!

I have Meling as backup, as well. *, I may as well share my whole squad. European champs...:lenny1:

I've only recently signed this boyo. Originally, I had Farinez as my goalie but sold him to Arsenal. Not quite commanding enough and struggled positionally. Rossbach and Omlin were two other contenders...

    RB, we've young Lee!

His Irish compatriot Doherty rotates with him in this position. I'd love to have Frimpong still in this position and may offer him a return from China, if I can pony up the cash.

In central defence, we are stacked with Ake leading the way...

Tomori came in on loan, but he's joining permanently soon. His stats are off the charts.

Bastoni is an able deputy if either of those are slacking off...

Oh, and we've Serb wonderkid Pavlovic as 4th choice...

His stats could do a bump up or he's getting sold!

The Hungarian is a new recruit but already looks like going down in folk lore...

    Dominguez runs the show currently!

Bruno became available and I'm no Woodward. Support comes in the tough, wirey legs of Argentinian Palacios...

Oh, and this ol' bhoy is still serving the club well.

The main fulcrum of attack is FM19 mainstay Thiago Almada:

With homegrown star Ryan Christie acting as backup:

In the wings we have some serious firepower:

Then in attack, there is Haaland...

And of course I couldn't sell Eddie...

Eyes, however, are now cast on this man:

Can he perhaps push the French star out of the club?

Aye, signed him for 17.5m. His stats don't look amazing, but his reports are off the charts and his performances have been great. I'd imagine his PA must be ridiculously high. Just added Marcos Antonio from Shaktar for 21m just incase he isn't up to muster, though! :56:

Had a total about face and decided I'm gonna have a clear out and focus on HG talent, instead. First out the door was Eddie for 42m to Arsenal, Meling to Brighton 26m (25m profit, plus sell on clause), Doherty to Sevilla for 20m (7.5m profit on a 30 year old), Bastoni to PSG for 35.5m plus sell on (15.5m profit), plus others who were never gonna get a game.

Biggest problem now though is work permits! I want my Brazilian to play but rule says he doesn't cut it despite paying over 3k per week. So off on loan he goes again...:38:

:55: Maybe go back in for him if things don't work out there. Good luck getting into their team!
