RC: We were delighted to win the game, and get the first trophy in the bag for the season. Now, we’re really looking to kick on."

RC: "Everyone talks about how early in the season the League Cup final comes around. When you go and win it, it’s a good confidence boost getting silverware so early in the season. You then want to go out and achieve more, because you’ve got the taste for it."

RC: "For all the new boys that came in in the summer, that’s their first trophy with the club, and that gives them that extra incentive to go and did it again later in the campaign."

RC: "It’s credit to the mindset of the boys and the staff at the club to keep pushing. We said that after the first treble. Then the second one. There’s been a relentlessness and a hunger to keep chasing success."

RC: "The gaffer is big on telling us that when you look backwards on what you’ve done, that’s when you’re likely to get pushed off the top. With that in mind, we want to keep pushing and hopefully that can bring us more success.

    RC on
    @HibernianFC
: "Jack Ross did an incredible job when he was at St Mirren, and I thought he was unlucky with things not really working out at Sunderland. With Hibs now bouncing back, you always expect that to be a tough game."

RC: "Whether you’re playing Hibs at home or away, I’m sure Sunday will be a tough fixture and we need a big push from everyone."

RC on his role: "The gaffer has been brilliant with me, and the football we’ve been playing – that fast-flowing, attacking football – suits my position."

RC: "For players like me, it’s a joy to play in. I’ve been lucky enough to have scored a few goals on the end of that, so I’m happy."

Was funny reading his comments about the tunes in the dressing room and gym, says Broonys tunes are too hardcore and his playlists are 'ridiculous'. Would love to hear them.

I have an incredible playlist with some old skool dance and 90s Scottish fubar specials. Broony would love it

RYAN CHRISTIE admits Kieran Tierney’s transfer from Celtic to Arsenal has left a huge hole in the changing room – in the music stakes.

The former Hoops fans’ favourite was the resident DJ for his team-mates and Christie reckons he was the BEST he’s ever came across in football.

Since his departure the likes of Scott Brown and Christopher Jullien have tried to step up to the plate.

Scotland international Christie admitted he even gave it his best – but was found wanting.

He told the Celtic View: “KT had the Soundcloud account when he was here and he had a library of dance songs, remixes and all of that sort of stuff.

“I actually really liked all of that. He got some stick for his choices in the dressing room at times but I’ll always name KT as the best DJ I’ve ever come across in football.

Broony’s sort of tried to take over since but his are just a bit too mad for me and a bit too hardcore.

“KT has left a big hole in the changing room music stakes – some boys have dipped their toe in, they’ve tried to take on the mantle, including myself, but it’s not been the same.”

Big-money summer signing Jullien has been a hit on the pitch with his towering performances at the back.

He’s scored big goals against Lazio in the Europa League and the Betfred Cup Final winner againstRangers last week.

But he’s not found that number one hit in the dressing-room.

Christie added: “Big Chris Jullien jumps on in the gym sometimes. He puts some French rap on and it doesn’t go down well.

I’ve tried to come in there, and while I think my music goes down well enough, I don’t have a big enough variety for everyone.

“I get found wanting after about five minutes on the speakers.

“Broony will bully his way on but his playlists are just ridiculous.”

Great finish, got slightly lucky mind you as thought he * Forrest up.

Unfair playing him out wide for me, needs played centrally.

Hands down, the best player in the league in my book. Great technique, great finisher, good passer and powerful.

That goal was probably better than it’ll be given credit for, he rushed his touch and finish to get it off before the block came in. Cracker.

Great goal but felt he ran into trouble a few times.

    Couple of needless fouls too.

    Good enough though.

    The complete midfield player.

17 goals and counting before the turn of the year is an unreal return.
