I'm starting to think he'd be a good fit for Sunday, he can be silky as fek at times.

My fav is Oz but I'm not sure if he's fit enough to go into this game from start, not that I like pushing Christie wide but him and Oli. Can switch, that's if Mo is not fit enough that is.

Definite starter tomorrow, arguably the biggest call for Sunday will be whether or not he starts. Probably alongside who the full backs are but that’s because of injuries.

I suspect the biggest calls for Sunday will be the full backs????

If we move Christie wide to accommodate Ntcham we're weakening 2 positions as Christie is better than Ntcham in CM and Ely/MJ are better than Christie wide.

I don't think there's any strong argument to play Ntcham on Sunday - unless there are injuries - given how well the midfield is playing at the moment. It picks itself if they're all fit.

    Elyounoussi Christie Forrest
    McGregor Broony

There are injury concerns though, that’s the point!

Mo Ely doesn’t make it then Christie left and Ntcham in the centre is a shoe in.

    Elyounoussi you mean?

If he doesn't make it then Johnston should go in.

It's a toss up for me between Ely and MJ anyway.

Agreed, both looking lively, scoring goals and taking on their man. Johnston played well in the first game at their pit, playing the ball through for Edouard's opener.

We've got to trust him for this if the game comes too soon for Elyounoussi.

Ntcham is too hot n cold for me to be starter on sunday. He either bosses it and plays amazing or he's *, hides away and is a man down, there's no in between.
If Ely doesn't make sunday, I'd start mikey ahead of him.

Nah the other Mo Ely :56:

Johnston isn’t 100% match fit, has failed twice against the Huns and is a better option currently from the bench.

Johnston over Ntcham for me, would rather Christie in the 10 than anywhere else.

For not being match fit he's fair sailing by defenders and scoring goals with ease.

Dramatic to even include that first game against them, he was hung out to dry by the rat by being put up top and his more experienced team-mates lumping long balls and giving him no service didn't help.

If you're considering that as a failure then Ntcham was an embarrassment that day. Half-hearted, skelping balls straight out the park.

Johnston started the last match and didn't let us down, pounced on their defensive mistake and played a lovely weighted ball into Edouard for the opener.

Christie is in the form of his life in the no.10. There's no way we should be moving him out wide to shoe-horn in Ntcham. He might be needed off the bench when we're looking to retain possession and see out the game but this is a game where we need to play 11 players that you can hang your hat on to give you a graft; Ntcham for all his quality, isn't one of those guys.

He’s played literally minutes, he won’t be match fit. That’s just a fact of life unfortunately, if he had 2 or 3 games under his belt then a derby cup final wouldn’t be as big a thing to throw him in to.

If you want to base it on past games then Ntcham has won a game almost singlehandedly against them...

He'll play some part tonight. He looks naturally fit and his play hasn't looked sluggish at all. He's sauntered by a few Rennes defenders and scored a belter, then on Sunday he's strolled by the Ross County defender for another goal. He can do the business against them.

He was tremendous against them that day and every Celtic fan knows that he's capable of that level of performance but he's also had some real hum-dinging performances since then too.

I think it would be madness to pull Christie out of the position he's playing superbly in, just to shoe-horn in Olly. If they do their pound shop Gegen-press on us, then Christie is going to have time and space in and around the edge of their area and will cause them all sorts of problems.

And he's not shown up in other games. That's the problem, you don't know what Ntcham you're going to get. He's too unreliable. I don't think that's the case with any other player in the squad.

Are you in agreement that if Ntcham plays tonight and plays well he’s in contention for Sunday?

It’s a no brainer, particularly because of potential injury concerns.
