Just seeing Killies Del Fabro running much further to celebrate a last minute equaliser at Easter Road. Was he booked?

Stand by it but, Mikey Johnstone is a better finisher than a young James Forrest.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has tipped Mikey Johnston to make an impact against Rangers in next weekend's Betfred Cup Final.

The 20-year-old was a standout performer for the Parkhead side in the early stages of the season, before an injury sidelined for almost three months.

But Johnston is back with a bang after scoring two goals in two substitute appearances, including the final strike in Celtic 's 4-1 win over Ross County on Sunday afternoon.

Lennon says he has been forced to adopt a cautious approach bringing the youngster back into the fold, but is delighted with his progress and that it bodes well for the upcoming Hampden clash against Rangers .

He told Celtic TV: "I wanted to get him on earlier but Tom (Rogic) went up and got his goal which I was delighted about so I left the substitution a bit longer.

"And then Mikey comes on and he is in a good place at the minute, you know it's softly softly with him in terms of getting him on the pitch.

"That's two substitute appearances in a row he's come on and made an outstanding contribution so we are delighted with him and the quality of his play is very high at the moment so that augurs well for next week."

Any player with the ability to go past a man can hurt teams and * up their game plan, his form was excellent before he got injured, looks like he's picked up where he left off.

Don't want to get too carried away but at this point I'd say it's only Jimmy Johnstone ahead of him in terms of wingers in our history.

MJ, Christie, Frimpong and Eddie. These are the type of players we have been crying out for for a fair while. Guys that get you buzzing and out of your seat. Players you go back on vids to see certain goals or play. And they all come in at once. Not only these four lads but first ones that came to mind.:57:

Low centre of gravity, can go either way. Still a bit to go yet though...

Agreed, but the potential is there in my opinion.

I know it's early doors , but for me he's the greatest player ever to wear the Celtic jersey.

Could have ask for more. Should hopefully start against Hamilton and Cluq anyway.

As someone pointed out he’s 21 at the end of this season. He’s not played a lot of professional football for a lad his age and ability due to injury. Has to hit the ground running which he has so far.
