We tried the novice route with John Barnes and that was a disaster and Kennedy should have went a few years ago with the other management and can't believe he's still there .

We tried the novice route with Lennon and it was a rousing success.

Also he is still here, not there.

The fact he isn’t taking the Hibs job tells me he’s been promised the managers gig after Lennon.

As Celtic fans we should/are wanting to find out what’s he’s about before he’s handed the reins to our club.

Best for everyone if he goes and looks to gain experience elsewhere. If it turns out he can’t cope with the pressure at Hibs then we’ve dodged a bullet.

In Scottish terms Hibs are a big club with a big budget, cracking stadium and big support if it’s going well.

I’d say anyone with a bit of confidence in their abilities would jump at the chance of being Hibs manager as their first job.

And if Kennedy isn’t looking at that job thinking he could make them the third club in Scotland with the mess Aberdeen and Hearts are in then he’s probably not the type of guy you want managing Celtic.

I don’t think you can read much into it other than that Celtic is the best place for him right now and it’s hopefully going to be a great place and time for everyone over the next 18 months.. That will be the time for any big changes at the club .. from boardroom right down.

Im glad the possible move has been closed down ... the media were pushing it in their special ‘unsettling’ way just like they did with BR at every opportunity until he actually did go.

I await the stories about Edouard being taken from us in January (or other fanciful Pish) now that this one has been flushed.

I agree. I was just thinking about it from his perspective.

Isn't this his first season as an assistant manager? Maybe he wants to stay for the 10 while further gaining experience before moving on. Celtic is a great place to be just now. He'll move on when he's ready.

Also I don't think lenny will move on this time unless he stops delivering.
He's mentioned before that he'd like to be one of celtics longest serving managers if he could.
So JK could be waiting a long time before stepping up to full 1st team manager.

What because you don't like what I said and there's a good few Celtic fans think the same about Kennedy .
The guy needs to go somewhere else to prove himself and shouldn't be handed it just for the sake of it
Still think when Lenny moves on we should go for a high profile manager who has proved himself .

JK: Great three points, and a great performance. The most important thing is to keep playing the way we’ve been playing."

    JK:
    @JeremieFrimpong
has been terrific. He’s a great guy as well. He’s still learning the game. He just plays with a freedom, and it’s up to us to drip feed him the tactical side of the game."

We weren’t overly worried. We had plenty of time. The manager reinforced the idea to continue doing what we were doing. When you get 2-1, you want to get 3 and 4, which unfortunately didn’t happen. You then have to see the game out."

This sets us up well for the week ahead. Momentum is important. Complacency can set you back, and we’re on a fantastic run at the moment. We want to keep an eye on our own house, make sure we’re doing our job.”

They were probably hoping Danny McGrain took some as well.

JK:Under difficult conditions it was good. We can never take anyone lightly but we were comfortable and a lot of players who needed minutes got some."

JK: "The boys were professional. We played a strong team to win the game and we done that convincingly."

JK on Patryk Klimala: "He's still settling in but he's done well. He's got good speed and he's a good size. On another day he would have scored his chance. He'll be fine long-term."

JK: "The mentality of the group is really strong. There's a real will to go out and win every game in every competition.

JK: "St Johnstone will be a difficult game, but we'll look at it when it comes to it. Now, we'll focus on Hearts on Wednesday night."
