Might be getting carried away but I actually think instead of regressing we're actually seeing some of the best form of his career right now.

    His movement is incredible.

And I don't mean that as in Larsson's or Messi's movement.

His intelligence around the middle of the park and defensively, off the ball he creates so much space, even if just for Ajer or Jullien to stroll into or to pull guys away for the pass to be on to Ed etc, he really really pulls strings on and off the ball. It's priceless. And that's not even mentioning his positioning to kill attacks!

Anyone on here who is a young player, or if your kid plays, tell them to JUST watch Broony for half an hour, like don't take your eyes off him. It's fantastic.

I thought he was MOTM as well, Hayes was well involved, Frimpong and Edouard at times. Jullien also played well with a few good passes but the way Brown just mopped up everything and shrugged people aside with ease he stood out as it being too easy for him any time they tried to come forward. He was superb against Lazio as well, nearly cost us giving it away at the end but won it back and a couple of times right away to prevent any danger.

Couldn't agree more. I remember being a DM around 15/16 years of age and all the coaches (even the Hun ones) saying to watch how Lennon read the game. His anticipation was absolutely incredible.

I remember watching us being put out to AC Milan after 120 mins at the San Siro and Sounness laughing at Lennon's belly after he'd taken off his top. Completely forgetting that he had just kept one of the best players in the world at that point, Kaka, quiet for the whole 2 legs.

Broony is almost on that level. He used to get a rush of blood to the head and charge down everything, only for good teams to play triangles and exploit the space he's just vacated.

Now he knows exactly when to press and when to sit. Constantly provides cover for CBs or full backs charging on. A lot of his work goes unnoticed. The wee man still has a huge say in our short-term future.

Celtic made a * of it as well, the Lazio game was his 550th game for us it was also his 120th career European appearance.

Took ma boy a few times this year and last and told him to do exactly that. We both watched him for about 10 mins and he noticed how often he constantly checks where he is on the park, where his opponents are and where his teammates are. My son also plays CM position for his boys club so think he learned something. I am always telling him though, the best player on the park is usually the cleverest. Broony is a very wise old sage.
