MOTM for me. Definitely needs a rest at the weekend though, never seen him look that tired at the end of the match.

Thought it was fitting that the one and only legendary singer songwriter, Johnny Mac, was on the screen at the end alongside the other singer guy

When he penned There's Only One Scott Brown, it was for nights like this

Thanks Johnny. And thank you Broony. For Everything

I agree. He was excellent but he was absolutely knackered with about 10 mins left. He gave every last bit of energy he had for Celtic tonight, the guy is a real Captain and absolute legend.

Think when it got to 85 there was just sheer willpower left in the tank.

Christie should be fresh for Motherwell, Ntcham should have the bit between his teeth. Perfect time for him to have a wee rest, especially with Internationals coming up. Perfect rest for him.

Brilliant performance bar almost costing us with about 5 to go..

Won it back then was * and they broke again but he'd stalled them enough by then..

What an effort he's putting in..

International break is almost here bud..

I don't imagine there would be a better performance from a holding midfield player anywhere in Europe tonight.

Runs the show every single time. He’s playing at invincible season levels at times.

You know, that’s not even exaggerated in the slightest and that’s a massive compliment.

    * heart sank through my * when he played it to them :giggle1:

Other than a few stray passes (which everyone was guilty of first half) he was immense.

Question is though how do we replace the irreplaceable? We need to fill his role somehow when he does eventually retire, but he gives us more than simply a holding midfielder. We're a different team without him there, especially big games.

I agree rest him for Motherwell on Sunday and then it’s the internationals so he should be well rested and ready to go for the next few games.

Looking at the fixture list, we should definitely rest him for the Hamilton game before the league cup final

BEAST! That one where he lost the ball with 10 minutes left or something, then tracked back and won it again... Another commanding performance

You can see the opposition hate playing against him.

    They run, he tracks them
    They turn, he's there
They jump he's jumping along side them
    50/50 he goes in 100%
Other heads go down his just grows

He really is a player you would hate to play against. Never gives up, never lays down and never takes 2nd prize...

I need to take a six hour bath for not being fussed about the rumours he was heading to Australia.

Sure he was a huge part in us getting back into it cause even when we were under the cosh he was using the space and the ball very intelligently as he always does. Nothing fazes him and that must be so inspirational for the team when we're having moments of doubt like last night.

Don't think Immobile got a touch after the customary wind up :56:

You could see their captain Parolo kept looking at him before kick off when they shake hands and all that pish flipping the coin..

Then Immobile rattled half throwing an elbow..

    He definitely wound them up..
