    10/10.

    * phenomenal film. Can see it winning the Oscar’s for Acting, Direction, Cinematography and Score.

Phoenix is the best actor on the planet and it’s not even close.

Seen it last night enjoyed but don't think it lived up to the hype quite slow in parts

Don't think that will matter too much.
"Suspend your disbelief" and all that.

The greater concern is probably more to do with when they actually shoot the film, phoenix won't be overly suitable if if ages too much too soon - as an individual.

Still canny stop thinking about that ending.

That blood smile scene was incredible. Will be one of the most iconic movie scenes of all time.

Brilliant film, not a dull moment in it. It reminded me of a number of films like Summer of Sam, very intense film. I really don't want to see a sequel, they should leave that film how it is as it will be a classic in years to come.

Both Todd Phillips & Joaquin Phoenix have said they wont do a sequel so doesn't matter regardless haha

Torn between being gutted or not about that.

Should probably be left as a standalone film, but just hope it doesn't end up meaning another origin story in five years again.

Phoenix said yesterday he’s started talking to Phillips about other projects and what other stuff they could do with the Joker if they were to do it again.

Says the door isn’t closed, which in Phoenix’s world probably means a sequel will probably end up happening.

Don’t think they should though. Joker will be an all time classic film.

    No No No No... !!!

Whackeeeeeeeeeeeen absolutely makes the movie. His characterisation gets a 10/10 from me!

Like Christopher Waltz proved in Inglorious Basterds or Ben Kingsley did in Sexy Beast - great actors don't need to be musclebound alpha-males to portray convincingly terrifying psychopaths.

I would give the film an overall 8/10.

Didn't think it was as physically violent as the media are making it out to be - the context of what violence there is though is utterly terrifying.

    *SPOILER*

I don't see there being a sequel as my interpretation of the film is that Arthur never left the hospital - he's not THE Joker.

I didn't like it or dislike it thought it was alright. It's like King of Comedy only a bit more mental obviously. 6/10

I can't think of anyone who could do it better either.

I think the movie throughout gives off the impression that there could be a copycat joker. However it isn't possible with this movie but I think there could have been two movie releases a batman and a joker one, you could then see the fight from two different perspectives.

I get the 'KOC' comparison, but feel it was more like Taxi Driver (and not just because of DeNiro).

The adverts were so good, it made me disappointed in the actual movie tbh. The adverts looked utter fantastic and the movie just never lived up to it. I'd give it a 6.2/10

    Aye 6.2 :56:

Luckily terminator adverts look * so hopefully thatll give me the opposite feeling.

I thought it was absolutely class, all of the jokers reasonings seemed valid to me, obviously the way he goes about it isn’t the way it should be done. But the whole of society was * on him, he couldn’t catch a break, the social services are cut, he loses his job, he loses his medication, his mother turns out to be insane, he gets laughed at very publicly on tv.
I’m sure in the future there will be another, it’s already got the highest ever box office returns for October and that’s without China since it’s not been shown their yet

Just after seeing it.. * superb.

Honestly think Phoenix surpassed Ledger for his performance as the Joker.
