    Hated him as a player.

Admired and respected him for the way he fought his condition all the way and the work he done for charity.

    RIP.

I actually was quite fond of ole mad eyes, I loved to see him on their team sheet, he was sent off against us almost as much as Morelos , we used to bet each other during hun games that he would be the first to go, He put up a terrific fight against a horrible debilitating disease, he's at peace now, RIP Fernando

RIP. Feel for his family, sin to go at such an early age. Was a cracking player.

He showed plenty of respect. It’s a terrible and horrific disease that no one should go through but Ricksen passing away because of it does not delete his own personal history.

‘Troubled’ is more respectful than the reality. The Huns up in arms over the use of the word are embarrassing themselves.

He was indeed a cracking player and fought this horrible disease with courage and dignity. My heart goes out to his wife and children. RIP Fernando

Horrible to see a fellow human being going through something so brutal. Top footballer everything cast aside

To start with Troubled in his tweet that’s disrespectful to his family.

    A wife who’s lost a husband a kid who’s lost her father.

The press should show a wee bit respect to them.

Really not going to get into it tbh because it lacks respect to a guy that’s literally just died but if his family feel disrespected by the word ‘troubled’ they’re burying their heads in the sand. Same as every other Hun.
