Think we really should rest Forrest, McGregor and Edouard with the Europa coming up and them all being involved in the internationals. Ideally I'd look at resting Hatem as well but I'm not sure who is available at CB, so he may need to play, unless O'Connor is looking ready to get thrown in. I don't really know much about him so I've no idea if he is that close to being a first team player yet.

Totally agree with you that McGregor, Edouard and Forrest should be rested and left on the bench this weekend and not played at all unless absolutely needed. Griffiths Ntcham can easily step in and start and maybe Morgan in for Forrest.

With the players available I'd probably look at a 4-3-3 with Brown, Christie and Ntcham in midfield and Elyounoussi, Bayo and Griff up front. Ideal opportunity to give both Bayo and Griff some game time. I doubt we will though.

I'm all for resting players but it needs to be done carefully. Last thing we need is to hand 2 points back to the huns.

    Unlikely 11

    Forster
    Bauer, Elhamed, Julien, Boli
    Brown
    Ntcham, Rogic?
    Elyounoussi, Bayo, Sinclair
Everyone keeps looking at Elyounoussi on left, he can play on either wing and behind the main Striker. Choose Sinclair over Hayes for his pure attacking ability. I'm also not entirely sure when Rogics back from injury sure I saw he was back training and this would be great for giving him game time.

Bit of a different situation here where Lenny has had plenty of time to work with on a formation with the players who are likely to play, due to not being away for the internationals. Normally it is pretty much our entire first choice 11 that has been away, that isn't the case this time around.

Plus there is nothing to stop us having them on the bench for emergencies.

If we can score and no concede, then we have a great chance of gettin the 3 points. :42:

Choking for some real football again. Not a fan of the international break and can't wait for this game.

We've got the opportunity to rest a couple of players without massively weakening the squad, and it would still mean we can have a really, really strong bench. Something like:

Forster; Bauer, Elhamed, Jullien, Boli; Brown, Ntcham; Forrest, Christie, Elyounoussi; Griffiths
Subs - Gordon, Taylor, McGregor, Morgan, Hayes, Edouard, Bayo.

Not a bad 18 when you consider we'd be leaving out Bain, Ajer, Simunovic, Bitton, Sinclair, Arzani, Rogic, Johnston & Shved,

I think it will boil down to who will score the most goals.

Lennon has been exceptionally conservative in resting players, can't see it being any different Saturday especially considering it's an away game. Really wanna crank up the pressure on whoever falls into second place especially if that team has European hammerings coming thick and fast..
