If he leads us to 10 in a row, you're talking about Lisbon Lions levels of magnificence. The European Cup is a unique achievement for Celtic and our greatest ever moment but to Captain Celtic to 10 League titles in a row is incredible, something even the Lisbon Lions couldn't achieve. He would become a Legend among Legends.

How do we fill this mans boots when he retires? How do we fill this mans boots when he’s injured or needs rested?

Two very tough things we lose.
    1. A leader and captain.
    2. A gritty ball winning midfielder

I wonder who we have in mind to bring in as a like for like.

In terms of a Captain, is Ajer that guy. Can Christie be that guy?

Before this season even began, there were many unknowns. What we’ve seen is, surprisingly, a well assembled squad with good cover all over the pitch, except for Broonys role.

Personally I hope he defies ageing and finds a third and fourth wind and plays until he 38. * knows how we replace this man

Even though we all have a rough idea of how much of an influence he has on and off the pitch for Celtic, I dont think we will realise how much we needed him in the dressing room until he is gone. Will be a massive change, and a transition that should have been started last year never mind now!
100% Have him in the coaching staff! Im sure he has done a few badges already? Back when he was helping out with the Development teams after 1st team training. Would imagine he's stopped that now though, to focus on playing these last few years out as the legs start to go.

Keeping him as a coach and being that old school club captain until we bleed a new long term captain is a great idea imo.

Replacing his role on the park is gonna be massive tho

    Totally agree there.

    Keep him home, ground him.!!

...and this was thing in the McGinn saga.
If celtic were serious about buying McGinn and saw him as a future replacement for broonie,
then they should've been willing to pay way more, than what Hibs were asking for him.

    Broonie, priceless.!!
    McGinn, ~priceless.!!

I just hope McGinn comes home at some point in the future and not when he's ready to retire, like some in the past.

It still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth when i think of this.

Christie is the only player that I can see having the both the battling qualities and the will to stay here for the rest of his career. Maybe.

Tell you something, Scotland haven't replaced this man! Gutted he retired.

Neither John McGinn or Callum McGregor are as good. He's a natural winner.

Calmac is a better footballer but ultimately it’s impossible to compare the 2.

Brown is still a better player than McGinn at this point, who despite having loads of positive things about him is VASTLY over rated amongst Celtic fans.

Absolutely. Chalk and cheese! If one was missing from my team to face Sevco next or a European match now, I would rather not the skipper though. He's way too important!

I think we should try Ajer in there some weeks.

It tells its own story like an open book how much the filth hate Brown because of what he has turned out to be. They are completely obsessed with the man and started the ball rolling with insults, chants and vile behaviour because he chose to sign with the team that liked to play football and the club that he admired most. They absolutely hate him for that and with more success for Broony the larger their hate grows. He has, like Lenny in the past, stood up to them and gave it to them on the pitch. They have never had a player in that time to go up against Brown and that’s why they celebrated like a trophy win when bad bhoy Barton came up to put him in his place but as they say ‘Talk is cheap.’ And the best bit of irony for me is how they celebrated when Kent landed a punch on Broony. They absolutely lapped it up to the point they painted pictures, murals, tattoos, screen savers and memes and probably have a song about it. That keeps me so happy because every time they see that image now they still have to look at the bitter rivals Captain, Leader and Legend and us Celtic fans get to look at actual trophies.

Don't usually agree with you but in terms of leadership...it's ridiculous..

Robertson is quality but Broony get's inches out of everyone..

    Does Roberson? Not a chance..
