CELTIC’S squad for the Europa League group stages has been announced.

Neil Lennon’s Hoops will take on Lazio, Rennes and Cluj in Group E of the competition.

It’s a swift re-match against Romanian side Cluj, after they dumped the Hoops out of Champions League qualifying before the play-off round.

The Parkhead club reached the groups after a convincing win over Swedish side AIK Stockholm.

New defender Greg Taylor has been thrown straight into the 37-man squad, which has a number of home-grown players in it on the player B list.

He joins fellow new signing Mohamed Elyounoussi in the shortlist of players.

    Goalkeepers
Craig Gordon, Scott Bain, Fraser Forster, Ryan Mullen*, Conor Hazard*

    Defenders
Christopher Jullien, Greg Taylor, Jozo Simunovic, Moritz Bauer, Boli Bolingoli, Hatem Abd Elhamed, Kris Ajer*, Nir Bitton, Kerr McInroy*

    Midfielders
Scott Brown, Scott Sinclair, Lewis Morgan, Tom Rogic, Olivier Ntcham, Barry Coffey*, Scott Robertson*, Callum McGregor, James Forrest, Paul Kennedy*, Mark Hill*, David McKay*, Jonny Hayes, Ryan Christie, Michael Johnston*, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Marian Shved, Karamoko Dembele*

    Forwards
Leigh Griffiths, Vakoun Issouf Bayo, Odsonne Edouard*, Calvin Miller*, Grant Savoury*

Long-term absentee Daniel Arzani failed to make the cut.

There’s also no place for Eboue Kouassi, either with the £3million man recovering from a serious knee injury.

Jack Hendry, who failed to secure a deadline day move away from Parkhead misses out too.

We didn’t win the youth league so we aren’t in it.

Is it still correct that U21 players don’t need to be registered?

    No.

Huns won youth league last year hence the reason for them being in UYL

I didn't know Kouassi was out with "a serious knee injury". Explains why we didn't offload him though.

A pĺayer considered to be "homegrown" in the club and under a specific age (21 or 22 I think). He has to be younger than that and have played a number of years in the club to qualify. For those players, there is simply no limit and you can register as many as you want.
