I do wonder how many of the signings have been down to Hammond. He was announced at the end of June when we'd pretty much signed Julien and were in talks with Bolingoli, right?

Since then we've signed Elhamed (possibly a product of Lennon's relationship with Dudu Daham( and Fraser Forster who is obviously a former player and knows Lennon well. We've also signed Bauer and Elyounoussi on loan who were 1. players we'd apparently tried to sign in recent years and 2. were only down the road in England anyway, not exactly hard to find.

We have signed quite a lot of younger players for the youth side, don't know if that is Hammond's influence.

We've brought in some good players, but it's all a little bit short-term, isn't it? 50% of our signings are loans from ENglish clubs.

Sold KT for 25 mil and since then we've brought in 3 loan signings, hope the players are a success and all that, but is this really the best we can do ?

Well 2 of them have options to buy, so personally that's fine for me. Always love the try before you buy pick n mix... :56: and 1s way out of budget, and allows MJ another year to develop even further and easily nail that wing down.

Good business that should have been completed earlier.

I’m wanting the 9 & 10 I think this window is better than People on here were preaching by far & I’m happy with it.
I’m obviously gutted by one transfer out, the rest was a good spring clean.

I used this point a few times so I get what you saying. That being said if we exercise the right to buy Forster and baeur we could be looking at anywhere between £6M-£10M I would imagine. That's actually quite good spending in comparison to recent times. Am content(ish) - a decent LB and maybe a decent cm I will be very pleased with the window

We defo need a LB and a CM, would've liked another striker tbh but canny see it happening, worried incase big Eddie picks up an injury.

Might be the making of Bayo. Griff is a great replacement, Sinclair can play it as well.

It's very important to us eddy goes injury free. Our best striker at the minute. That being said Griffith's is certainly more than capable and recent performances suggest bayo could do a job. I like what bayo seems to bring to the table. A completely different striker to Griff and eduaord! The kind that you can throw on if our usual system isn't working

So, in light of some of the performances of the new boys and some of the players on the verge of joining, does Hammond deserve some credit?

We actually had a pretty massive rebuilding job this summer, but it looks like we’ve just about pulled it off...just.
