Dembele or Edouard?

I suppose this brings up the hypothetical situation of imagining if we were in the Premier League or something like that and we were able to keep our best players

Imagine having the likes of Virgil, Tierney, Ajer, Dembele, Edouard, Roberts all in the one team. Majestic.

If we were in the EPL only VVD out of those would be good enough for us. (We'd lose our soul but)

 

You don’t think Edouard, Dembele or Tierney would be good enough to be top level EPL? I think those players will all be playing for top top teams in the next few years.

 

Dembele is easily good enough at the moment. Tierney as well.

 

No. Top level EPL is Man City and Liverpool and neither of these clubs showed any interest in any of these players.

 

Dembele is the better striker and will be world class in a year or two. Eddy is a very good striker who has the potential to reach a good European standard but for me it's no contest- Dembele is better and is at a level higher than Eddy. I can't see that changing. Dembele will get better and better. Eddy is good but not as good.

 

Joe Cole said something interesting about the young Chelsea player Mason Mount. He said he had a pause in his growth at age 13/14 so was kept back in the younger squad and that actually helped him develop his skills while he filled out.

Can't help thinking us not being in the EPL, where players are almost treated like meat such is the pressure on teams, allows players to develop much more. e.g Dembele's 2 year deal worked out absolutely perfect for him and us.

Ntcham did say something stupid and hopefully realises if Dembele and KT can get £20m+ plus moves playing for us then anyone with talent can.

It's why I think Eddy is going to become excellent as long as he keeps calm enough to stay with us before he's ready to move.

Hard to choose who is better as already mentioned they're so different. I personally love Eddy's style of being more of a natural playmaker but who's going to turn down the killer instinct of Dembele.

Dembele is gonna be sold for well over £100m next year to a big team. Hes the best for me.

 

I love Eddy I think he has great player and has potential but Moussa is the better player and more potential.

None of them big clubs showed interest when VVD went to Southampton either and look at him now.


Watched the Liverpool game yesterday and Pepe ripped Robertson a new * most of the game, he has been * this season.

When KT is fully fit they will see how good he is down there, I have a feeling that he will be a bigger hit than Robertson.

I think the bigger end teams like to see how they pan out in the EPL first. Mental really but that’s how arrogant they really are

 

Ole wants him at Utd and if he still continues his form at Lyon he will end up going for mad money either in the January or summer window.

 

And if ole continues his form he wont be here in October

Actually pretty similar to my thoughts mate. Maybe this is because it's current with Eddy but I think I'm more excited when he is playing for us than when the Moose did. Especially the way he is right now. Eddy has his moments but I think the moose threw more huffy fits and look disinterested more often. Moose would go into these bursts where nobody could live with him but when the balls at Eddy's feet it's the same and a joy. Potentially I think he can reach the moose if not surpass him especially as a team player. My fear...we've probably got a year left to watch it.
