    Agree with this post.

It has often felt like we dont have any contingency plans in place in the event of player departures.

For me, as soon as we become aware of a player wanting to leave, a player linked with another team (realistically) or if it could be reasonably predicted that a player might look to leave if we fail to qualify for the CL, we should have a list of targets drawn up to replace them.

We just seem to * and ill prepared. At the end of last season we lost around ten players, some who returned to their parent clubs. We should have had targets lined up to account for the voids these players left.

For instance, id like to think we have been looking at strikers to replace Edouard if he decides to ask for a move.

With regards to our transfer business, i really think we might have made our moves this summer with a lot less scouting and due diligence than usual due to the disarray of the recruitment department. Even in the leaked document from April/May, our targets looked unimaginative and some unrealistic.

I think if we had pushed the boat out we could have gotten John Park back in the fold.

The recruitment is a shambles , I Mind Stating aswell as the majority of our fans that The team was crying out for new faces to improve from a position of strength when Rodgers was still in charge. There has still been no improvement im starting to think the club have no forward planning it’s a Joke

If lenny was only appointed in the summer then i could understand why we are taking our time getting players in and assessing the squad but hes had 6month !! It beyond a joke now

Really agree with this fans opinion, says it perfectly. We are a big club with a big fan base, being run like a small club.

Aye but they * around with congerton until the summer. * head scout no scouting because hes fuckinh off to leicster. Rodgers has had a big knock on affect with the way he left and took our entire backroom staff bar some loyal ones.

Couldn't agree more with that original article when he mention this 9 and 10 IAR. It has totally muddied the waters here and imo has let those in power away with a lot of flak with regards to European efforts. Certainly up until now anyway. By the way, i include myself in getting caught up with stuff when we should really looking at the bigger picture and trying to move the club up a couple of levels.

2 weeks left and we’re still 3/4 players short imo.

The way we do business we’ll be lucky to get 1 in the door in the next 2 weeks.

    When players like
Tarik Elyounoussi can turn around and slander our club that tells you everything you need to know about our Recruitment. It is a fkin shambles and the board ought to match the ambition it’s shocking how behind our club is in terms of Europe sickening

Since January we have brought in on permanent deals- Shved who Rodgers had never heard of. Bayo who Rodgers had never heard of. Boli who Lennon clearly had no part in and Julien who the rumours are was also a scouting team signing. That is £14 million spunked on what looks like dross although Shved might come good. Surely we could have scouted better than this. At least El Hamed(not sure on spelling) looks good. But honestly who is buying these guys? It seems not the manager anyways. Who has the final say? Is it Lawell?

One thing not many folks are factoring into all this is; how many players have we approached in the last few months who eventually chose to play their fitba elsewhere?

I understand how as fans we find that almost incomprehensible - why wouldn't anyone want to play for Celtic? - but I bet a pound to a penny that there are plenty who decided to go elsewhere for many different reasons.

Perhaps for cash reasons as Lawwell will not break our wage structure will sitting comfortably on an EPL salary himself , or perhaps other folk don’t seem as being a big club anymore due to the way modern football has changed the game look at
Tarik Elyounoussi’s Comments he ain’t the only one who feels like that

Plenty to be honest but that's still an excuse. There's been absolutely no forward planning here and we're reactive rather proactive and even then it's done badly most of the time. Does 2 out of 6 CL qualifiers sit well with you mate??...even then we were a bawhair of out going out in Israel and also we were panicking in Astana for 15/20 mins after taking a 5-0 lead over there. Lustig against AEK, the whole Mcginn * , season after season of penny pinching when we need to strengthen and have never been richer. We know these games are coming every year, when they are and we continually gamble it and the great irony is, it costs us a * packet!!

With the CL campaign starting early I always think we should be getting a couple of players in during the January window and bedding them in so that they are ready for July
