NEIL LENNON has laughed off Scott Brown’s Twitter clanger – after he accidentally ‘liked’ criticism of his boss.

The Celtic captain mistakenly endorsed a fan’s tweet savaging the Hoops’ gaffer’s team selection.

But Brown quickly apologised for his mistake and Lennon fully accepts his version of events.

He said: “Scott’s never been the brightest! Seemingly he’s accidentally hit this like button.

“I don’t think he’s ever been on Twitter that much. He was just looking for the reaction, which is natural.

“It can be damaging. Maybe he can detach himself from it as well and concentrate on being the great captain that he is.”

Good response from NL - he can't come out and call bullshit, but at the same time the last sentence hits home...

We really don’t want to be trying players that are playing well in their established positions in different ones just now.
We need to get the players settled in & confident with each other, then if necessary tweak slightly as we go along.
No more calmac to LB panic type changes going forward.

He was excellent last week at right back which isn't his position. He started his career as a midfielder so I imagine he'd be fine in there. I still think as a centrehalf he gets caught out too often but in my opinion he'd be a brilliant sitting midfielder.

Possibly, I treat across the back line as Ajer’s position, I would keep him in there for now, tweak it later on when things have settled.

He's played every game this season, and to be fair he did take a nasty looking knock to his ankle when Bain landed on him. I assume he was left out today because of that.

The problem is, we only have one player like him who's prepared to battle in the middle of the park! Would like to see Ajer challenge for that place!

I notice the Brown haters are nowhere to be seen. The players all perform better with him controlling them. He's been a legend and so important to our success. We need to replace him somehow and I honestly don't know how we can?

Him and Forrest are our winners on the park in every game!

I know there's no hatred for Broony and I get that he's slowing but I see him as our talisman to the 10 and I think we all know how much everything about our club means to him. I wouldn't like to see him just shoved aside when he's so close to breaking records. He deserves to see the 10

I’m not a ‘Broony hater’ but I was glad he was dropped today. He shouldn’t be playing every game and we should be able to beat Dunfermline (more comfortably than we did) without him.

I agree with that 100%. I have read so many comments since Wednesday and I couldn’t bring myself to agree or even respond. In times that are serious much like now, people and their opinions should be given a by ball in times of such frustration. But you come in to me an hour before kick off and Broony would be my first shirt. Unless he does something that shows he wants to slow down and even take a step back it’s then I’ll trust his judgment. He’s the captain of this team.

Better or without? I personally think he is still a gear player for us in Scotland!

Do I want a replacement? 100% I do. The people saying were better without are idiots in my eyes at the moment however.
