I honestly think our domination of scottish football is coming to an end only have ourselves to blame winning the league this season just became a huge ask

    I'm not picky.
    * all will happen and it will be the same rhetoric as we get every year.

    "Bitterly disappointed."
"We'll be making sure we do our best to improve as the Champions League is where we should be every year."
"Will look to bring in better players."
"Will look to build on this to make sure we get better."

    Blah blah blah :76:

Yet, like every year, nothing will happen.

Even if we do spend big again to get another player or three in they'll probably be left on the bench while players will play out of position :87:

I think its time we moved our pay cap up the scale a bit.....we are in real danger of only getting the players no one else wants.

It has nothing to do to with our salary cap and everything to do with investing poorly. We had the 12th highest wage bill in the whole Europa League last season. Far higher than that of Salzburg. Our wage bill dwarfs that of Cluj. And yet we still find ourselves performing poorly and wasting money on duds year after year.

The entire scouting and recruitment departments need replaced.

Money has everything to do with it,do you thin KT or dembele would have left if we was paying them 70k a week.......maybe aye but i think KT would still be here.
And no i dont think we should be lumping out that sort of wage but a 25k cap is hurting us.

    Nothing...

They’ve got all the ST Money !
They’ve got all the KT Money !
They’ve got a load more in the bank !
    They’ve sold a load of shirts !
Folk will keep buying merchandise !
There’s an ST waiting list !
They do not care about the paying support!

At best they’ll try to fob fans off with another Boli-esque dud and say they’re investing because he cost 1.9 million and was in Zenits squad...

    Effectively doing nothing.

I actually wouldn’t be surprised if another key player is sold this window....

We're never going to be able to afford to pay anyone that much.

Investing in the right players is far more important than spending more money.

I understand the sentiment, but stopped reading when I saw Danny Fox for £5m.

Aye we still have the best squad. No doubt.

However there's now already a depressed mood within the support and I'm sure amongst the players as well after that mess last night. If we lose at Ibrox it could get pretty ugly.

Feels like the huns are building momentum and growing in confidence (and yes, I know they have previous), whereas we are doing our usual and shooting ourselves in the foot.

    That game is monumental.

I'm presuming it is because from next season (I think it is) we are unseeded, making it very unlikely we will qualify for the CL groups. In a couple of years the structure of the CL changes again, which will, in all likelyhood, make it all but impossible for us to qualify. This was the last realistic chance for us to qualify for the CL and the board * it by not getting the recruitment done in time, and to a good enough standard, to qualify. Now all funds will be held to cover wages for the seaons we don't have CL football.

    Appointing Lennon showed our ambition.

This is just the start of the downsizing.

Wait until the players realise how big a downgrade he is and start searching for moves.

I agree mate. I said the fallout could be horrible after this and likely will..

We were building a nice bit of momentum. Felt like he'd got everyone on side from player's to the fan's..

That's gone now. He's lost that trust that's been building for week's in the space of 90 minute's..

Now he has to show something in his management and get a system and settled side to go again. Needs to be a strong bounce back smashing Dunfermline and the diets whilst progressing in the Europa..

Do all that and we'll be in better shape going to the * pit. Should definitely have our absolute first 11 sorted by then, whether we bring anyone in or no..

It's a big game to put a marker down. If we lose it isn't season defining although will be confidence shattering again. If we win though. It'll be hugely significant with them still to come to us twice..

Well we are stuck in a catch 22.
Yes we can find some good players, but the minute they come good we will lose them.
dembele one window...KT the next....who will it be next summer calmac....forrest...?

We are only ever plugging gaps left in our team every summer, and its not like we have 5,6 or 7 great players, the minute one comes along away they go.
This model the club is working on only ever brings in cash that the board does not want to spend, what's the point of that if we never improve,at the moment we are struggling to just stand still.

I have lost count the number of players we have signed that are for the future while the first team has needed its defence fixed for about 5 years.
Sell for 25 million ok....but spending 3 million on a replacement is a insult.

Lennon is a good manager he not only got us into the groups he took us out the other end as well, but like all managers he need the quality of player to do that and we are refusing to spend that sort of cash anymore....we are a CL club spending Europa money.

If the board think the backlash is bad the now you wait and see what Happens if we don’t even make the EL groups and those monkey * do!
