Greg Taylor is on Celtic's transfer radar as the Premiership champions search for Kieran Tierney's replacement.

Arsenal agreed a £25million deal for the 22-year-old on Wednesday and Kilmarnock's rising star is one player under serious consideration.

Tierney is set to complete is move to the Gunners on Thursday and Celtic are keen to bolster their options in defence.

Record Sport understands Killie's Scotland international is high up on a list of names the Parkhead side are considering.

As a back up he would've been fine but a replacement for KT and with Boli meaning that's our lot?

    Nah. No. * off..

I think this is lazy journalism tbh. The record have been notoriously bad this summer with our transfer dealings.

On taylor himself, if we signed Henry as our main LB and maybe pushed Bolingoli up to be our back-up LW i'd take him, but as Tierney's replacement no thanks. He's a decent player, but we need better.

    Should be back-up to the back-up left-back.

A well seasoned player. We could do worse. But I suspect it's just the Delused Ranger making up copy.

    I wouldn't mind him tbh.

Same arguments for not going after Robertson when he was at Dundee Utd. Not good enough etc.

There's talent there and we have no idea until given the chance.

I’d of taken him as back up, he is never a KT replacement.

Would be decent back up, at this time I would rather him at left back than Boli.

You can tell who’s never seen him play. He’s a good player who’s already got a lot of games for his age.

Never Tierney quality but he is a very useful left back and good technically also. I thought he had a very good game vs Rangers the the weekend.

Every time we sign someone from Scotland (or are even linked!) people have the same knee-* negative reaction, it makes no sense. We need another left back and we know he is a decent player and only 21.

Its going to be near impossible to sign someone at Tierney's level and we need to come to terms with that, big shoes to fill. Greg Taylor is nowhere near though... we need to be looking to splash a lot in this position and look for real quality.

Aye we do, but one who is way beyond his current level. Don't expect as good as KT but we should be aiming far higher.

Nothing against the guy but failure to find a good replacement will leave us in a really bad spot at lb as the jury is well and truly out on Boli.

How are we expected to sign someone of tierneys ability if we consider him worth more than 25 mill and are looking for someone for less than 3/4 mill? Think he is worth a chance. I haven't seen a lot of him but if he is decent defensively and has good positional awareness well then we can make him an even better player with time .
