Lennon is manager not chief scout or head of recruitment or any of that bollocks.
    Weird thing to suggest.

Seems so, just sounds (finding the negative admittedly) like we are sitting on our hands and hoping/assuming the first couple qualifiers aren't gonna be an issue.

Judging by the way the squad played last year, I'm not filled with confidence here. Unless suddenly Lennon is about to find his character again.

That will trim down Nicky's annual leave allowance then. Good move.

So we're officially not even attempting to negotiate transfers until after the 1st of July? Or we are doing everything we need to do without him, then also bringing him in for 2 months work while some our most important games of the season are ongoing?

    It is mate..

I want someone like this in but we need a long term vision..

We seem to be hopping about and winging it at the minute..

As I say I'm all for a shake up but we really look like we're clueless at the minute. Aw we'll get a load of 6 month loan's that should do it. Aw we'll get a guy in over the summer to help us recruit player's..

We need something long term. It better get sorted as we're looking at bit of a laughing stock behind the scene's..

Let's hope this guy comes up trumps and we're sorting someone long term in the meantime..

Surly the summer work has been done? What’s the point in this guy coming in so late?

I just don't get temporary nature of this..

If we are unsure he can deliver, why bring him in? If we or he have something else in the pipeline, why not just wait. Seems odd.

Honestly, I think this probably just highlights further just how much Congerton’s * us.

Of course that is his role, but a manager still goes out and scouts players, takes in games, tournaments, has a say in signings.

If we are now signing a guy, just for recruitment, and he isn't due for another 10 days to be employed by us, aren't we allowed to wonder/question if or what Lennon or anyone else currently at the club has been doing? Are we all to sit and wait for this guy to come aboard?

Does recruitment completely go on hold?

At Reading he signed majority British & Irish based players, often on cheap looking to sell on (Both like us), examples being Kevin Doyle, Shane Long, Leroy Lita, Simon * ect looked to work with Reading's poor finances at the level they were at and tried to build a core from that, just sounds like us tbh, we dont fancy buying cheap from Europe we'd rather focus our look in England for some bizarre reason.

I was half-taking the * when I first said it, but it's just getting more and more likely. Stephen O'Donnell, Gary Hooper and a few loans will be our activity in this window. I'm * dreading it.

Don't need any more politicians at the club.

Not the worst record to be fair. If he can give us Long * then personally I'll be delighted.

Lawell is * me off something awful. First it was giving Lennon the job in the showers, then it was revealing he hadn't looked at other managers. We knew Congerton was off but didn't have someone in place to look for players we badly need for the start of the new season. Now we've got an intern DOF who won't start his new job until July the 1st. *. Why isn't he in now? Why not get him in before we picked a manager? Why the * is he going to be in charge of the football side of things when we don't even trust him enough to give him the gig full time?

Honestly disillusioned with Celtic atm, we reek of amaturism and lack any forward planning. By all accounts West Brom fans are delighted to see the back of Nicky Hammond although I'm willing to give him a chance. But he's on the back foot already with a lot of players already securing deals with other clubs.

Lennon was intern manager for 3 months, what the * was Lawell doing all that time.
