There will be interest for Ajer if he has another great season, I think he will 100% better the season past.
However that is most certainly not the only reason we should spend the 7million on this guy.
Hes Experienced playing in a top league.
    Hes Tall as F***.
    Hes Comfortable on the ball.
    Hes Big, Black and French

I mean this is a position we have needed serious improvement in for as long as I can remember.

Honestly the single most unfunny thing to do on the planet.

    Edit: it's been said. Good.

I wouldn't say that. What it would do is give us the opportunity to go up a bracket in wages and transfer fees.

I know people roll their eyes at Ajax being used as an example but they're in a very similar position as us: outwith the big 4 leagues, dominant in our provincial league, comparative stadium size, season ticket sales, turnover, wage bills. Their system allowed them to sign the likes of Ziyech for £9.9 million and Neres for £10.8 million in 2016/17 and still have a £40 million transfer surplus for the year. Both are now worth 3 times their outlay and have got them to a Europa League Final and Champions League Semi Final.

If and when they're sold Ajax will bank the cash and repeat the cycle. Marin has already been signed from Liege for £11.25 million and Martinez for £6.8 million.

Ajax have a decades-long track record of World-Class coaching, scouting and developing players so we're at a bit of a disadvantage but we need to try and bridge the gap. Punting players for big fees should allow us to invest back in to players that have a prospect of reaching a similar level as the outgoing player rather than banking the cash and going for the lowest cost replacement that keeps us ahead of domestic competition.

Ajax don't have a dominance in there domestic league. The Ajax model requires acceptance that success comes in cycles. Most Celtic fans wouldn't accept that.

New Celtic tweet: "Christopher Jullien and his agent have rejected our TREMENDOUS contract offer which is one of the BEST offers professional football has ever seen. The club awaits his response on this quite unbelievable, earth-shattering offer."

We don’t have two other sides like PSV and Feynoord in our league.

We should be light years ahead of every Scottish side but our management at the top have downgraded for years.

We should on paper be winning the league every season and if we had the right investment getting into the groups of the champions league every season with our champions route but again we have failed to strengthen from a position of strength.

Yeah if you look at Ajax they usually have a very good 2 to 3 years then fade for at least 1,often more. In 2017/18 they failed to get into the Europa league after being knocked out by Rosenborg who we knocked out of the Champions league. Their fans will take a season in 2nd or 2 as long as they build for the future. At Celtic building for instant success is wanted by fans otherwise Rangers take the trophy.
