With a completely different team, in a completely different time.

This is a fresh start and a new challenge coming off our most successful stint in history.

This is as big a risk as any.

    Pearson and juninho?

Bit harsh considering the other was 34 when he joined and has been the hight of * all his days and clearly the Scottish game has always been a more physical league than he would ever have been in.

Get your point, but a bit of a weird comparison when the style of player and age is so drastically different from each other.

May as well compare boruc and zurawski.

I think the thing with Olly is simply he can play when he wants to, but looks more and more like he doesn't want to.
For me when Moussa left he gave up pretty much, I have been and always will be of the opinion, if you don't wanna play for Celtic then Go, he's wasting his time and more importantly ours !

I really don't understand where you're going here.

I'm agreeing that any manager that we could've hired had some sort of risk, there's no guarantee of success in football, the unpredictability is part of it's appeal.

You've asked how some people feel secure with Lennon in charge and I've answered that it's because we've seen him win things and do well in Europe before. It doesn't guarantee that he'll do so again but I think it's a pretty reasonable answer to your question.

I believe if we back him with the money required to improve the squad he'll deliver 9 and 10 in a row.

I wouldn't swap the last 3 years for a repeat of 67-70. If we can't look past a weakened domestic scene then maybe your right.

I don't think it is. Both are attacking midfielders, one arrived with a fanfare and the other was seen as a speculative punt.

If you asked anyone at the time who they thought was the more likely of the 2 to tie down a first-team spot and make an impact with our success I'm sure the vast majority would've said Juninho, a guy with over 50 caps for Brazil, a World Cup winners medal and a standout in the English Premiership.

You wouldn't swap the treble treble for winning 10 trophies, including a clean sweep of domestic trophies plus the champions league in a single season?

Naw I would. The second part of the post refutes that. I would think that the turn around performed by MON was more impressive than what the snake done.

You don’t have to swap anything. We have both. Weakened domestic scene? Sounds familiar.

No we don't but I still go with the view that our most successful stint was under Stein and not Rodgers

Can't wait to get this guy gone. If we make a healthy profit all the better.

Do you want me to say domestically then? Our bread and butter? Because we are never winning the Champions League under any manager in the current climate.

Ok so lets just forget about Europe and try to dominate Scotland our bread and butter. If that is how you want things then that is your prerogative.

The shrinking jersey for inferior players was made for types like this clown. Too many times he’s went missing when the going gets tough. * him and good riddance.

I get the impression that he could be a bit of a negative force. It's not based on anything other than how I perceive his body-language... so it's far from fact!
    :56:

He can be a tidy enough player, but I don't rate him all that highly (especially if it's a dogfight!). I'll not be heartbroken if he leaves.
