We’ve Just Won A Treble of Trebles

There are some really suspect characters on here these days.

 

I don’t think we’ve highlighted this enough...as Andrew Smith reported on The Scotsman website last night:

“[This is]...an achievement utterly gobsmacking – and unparallelled in global football.

It deserves repeating: never before in a major footballing top flight has any team won their three domestic trophies in three successive seasons.”

 

Do you have the stats on goals scored v conceded?

 

It's * class mate. There was a point I never would have imagined this level of success. I remember being ecstatic when big Van hooijdonk scored that header to win us the Scottish Cup because of how long it had been since we last won something, and for the joy it gave Tommy.

Since MON took over we've been dominant, and the laegue titles we've lost since 2000, I don't think we've deserved to lose them, especially because of that shower of * being financially doped up.

I'm enjoying these times mate, mainly because of two reasons.

1 cause nothing lasts forever
2 for all the * that we've been through. We deserve this.

Maybe a wee reminder to some people on here that the league isn't lost due to a couple of poor results and performances in September and October

 

It's ridiculous when you really think about it. One treble is hard enough, 3 in a row is phenomenal. Only ten had been achieved in the previous 70+ years since the League Cup was introduced averaging just under 1.5 per decade. We've doubled our treble tally in three seasons and won all ours fairly without financial doping or tax evasion.

 

This is payback for all the * we had to suffer in the 90's. I just wish some people were still here to enjoy it.

 

Strange thing is I was more confident with the 3rd than the 2nd. Trebles can be lost on a penalty shoot out, so getting 1 is amazing but after the 2nd I just thought why the * can't we do 3

 

80 scored vs 8 conceded I read somewhere!

 

Still not really sunk in yet, the stuff of dreams are now our reality

 

Quadruple treble coming up

 

The quadruple treble or quadtreble doesn’t have the same ring to it.

As long as we win the league going forward i will be over the moon!

 

What price is the treble next season?

 

If we win the League Cup next season I honesty think we'll go on to get another treble.

 

Even when oldco was buying domination of scottish football signing world class players such as Laudrup, gascoigne etc, and we were spending pennies did they ever come close to this unique feat. Truly marvellous times....

 

Wouldn't it be great if Lenny could go on to emulate what Brendan did? It would never be allowed though would it. They would find a way to change the set up or the rules (which have already been bent sideways to accommodate a certain team). What Brendan achieved was exceptional but it kind of leaves a sour taste after the way he abandoned us and I hate to say it Sutton is right Brendan sounds patronizing when talking about our club. Like he came up and done our wee club a favour because he had a soft spot for us! I would love for a real Celtic man to do this and it would seem a little less sour in my eyes.

 

Was a nice feeling when that final whistle went. Some achievement.
