Okay so you don't think Lennon with a wage budget of double the Tributes and hopefully £10 million+ to bring in replacements wouldn't be able to overcome Gerrard who has been signing SPFL Bosmans and is potentially losing 2/3 of their best players?

Rodgers completely revamped the whole program, with training methods, infrastructure of background staff. data analysis of upcoming opposition and our own team. Lennon admitted when he came back that "all of that stuff was new to him" ...... This for me is a big problem. Even though a young guy, he's old-school and not current with any of this stuff - just following the 'inspirational' type of model as he learned from O'Neill and Strachan. I have to say even Ronnie I think was more progressive and maybe just 'too nice' to make his ideas stick (kinda like the reception LeGuen received from that lot, team just unaccepting of change by a personality that couldn't make it stick). Even Gerrard has the advantage of having had Benitez, Rodgers and Klopp as influencers. I'm not saying Gerrard is better - or will EVER be (think as a plank is a major detractor there) - but at least he has had MUCH better exposure to innovative management.
I don't really believe Neil is technically astute enough.
Lennon is a Celtic man through & through and deserves his place in our History for all he has done, not least stepping into a very difficult situation. But we honestly need someone better I'm afraid.
Oh - and Moyes is NOT that!!!

Benitez would be a dream - I think realistically has always been out of our reach - but can still hope!
Wenger would also be an amazing capture - can't see that happening either.
I believe AVB checks all the boxes for the assets I outlined in my opening paragraph and think he is an excellent choice if we can get him.

    Could be able to yes.

But I don’t think he would, or Moyes.

Nearly as bad as yours, I’ll ask again who exactly is your realistic viable options as manager?

Well you’ll say Benitez isn’t realistic.

    So Cocu, AVB or Gallardo.

If Lenny gets it I'll back him all the way but it would be a massive disappointment. Hopefully whoever gets it is backed properly.

You must think highly of Gerrard's management ability and/or Jordan Jones, Greg Stewart and Jake Hastie's footballing ability.

He ran the best Rangers manager in decades, who had a financially doped squad to the wire in his very first season as manager.

He will comfortably see off Gerrard in a 38-game season provided we give him adequate funding. I have no doubt about that.

Cocu and my patters honking, Gallardo you seriously would give a manager who has never managed in Europe the job? Yet Lennon is a risk, * me gently.

We're winning the league next season. I know we don't know who'll be managing us, and I hope to * it isn't Moyes. But even if it is I think we'll still win the league, and that's me keeping in mind the clear out we'll no doubt be making. The fact is we've easily got the best squad in the league, and every other team wishes they were in our position. If the 10 was getting stopped it would've been stopped this season, but none of them could get near us in the end.

Think of it this way, if we don't win it then who will? That shower of * in Govan? :56: there's no way in * they're beating us over 38 games.

Stick to emailing football clubs mate.
Conversation clearly isn’t your strongest attribute.

Or go and grass on more posters to the mods.

For any manager not to win the league title next year here would be a catastrophe and a disgrace. We have the resources to win the league comfortably and I actually think Bayo , Griff and Shved could all be big players next season. We need a manager to get us playing well week in week out and performing in Europe. Title will take care of itself as long as we strive for the best.

    I don’t actually rate Gerrard.

I’m more concerned how directionless or football became under Lennon and how clueless we were attacking wise than anything to do with any other team.

Shame he couldn’t see him off comfortably in the last couple of games with a squad that cost * knows how much more than Gerrard and infinitely more talented.

I’d rather it wasn’t Lenny but anyone suggesting that Slippy would have an edge over him or Moyes is a crank and should be ignored.

Incase you missed that was a response to @Valhalla saying he doesn't think we'd win the league with Lennon.
