Brit police are setting up facial recognition points in London and handing out on spot fines for people who cover up when walking past.

    Discuss.

This is Sara, she was killed by Muslim terrorists because politicians care more about diversity & immigration than they do about our safety.

Seems the source is more the issue, * knows who he is or cares.

Wait until people are getting on spot £90 fines for wearing a Celtic scarf or whatever, then more people in here might give a *.

Indeed, I'm sure every xenophobe will agree.

And that's one of the problems with you, you will use/post any * from any source provided you think it proves whatever * you are pushing that day. Thankfully anyone with any sense can see exactly what kind of scummy * this * is.
Bringing Celtic into it as well is as pathetic as it is transparent. Your mask keeps slipping, you'll be having another meltdown soon I expect :56:

We are already the most monitored group of citizens on earth, can I ask if you are comfortable with the state and it’s surveillance of the majority of law abiding citizens?

    Quoting Orwell......

“in the past no government had the power to keep its citizens under constant surveillance. The invention of print, however, made it easier to manipulate public opinion, and the film and the radio carried the process further. With the development of television, and the technical advance which made it possible to receive and transmit simultaneously on the same instrument, private life came to an end. Every citizen, or at least every citizen important enough to be worth watching, could be kept for twenty-four hours a day under the eyes of the police and in the sound of official propaganda, with all other channels of communication closed. The possibility of enforcing not only complete obedience to the will of the State, but complete uniformity of opinion on all subjects, now existed for the first time.”

Incredible that some are quick to rubbish this given all we know from Snowden and the NSA leaks, they had tapped Angela Merkel's phone; a supposed ally. Then you have the Cambridge Analytica scandal with data being harvested on a mass scale to be subsequently used for social and political influence.

Our data is being collected all the time, I think it's healthy to have a suspicion over it's uses. Apple, Google, Huawei hold details like our fingerprints, faces for recognition and everyday movements from GPS for seemingly benign purposes at the moment. Then we have our shopping habits tracked via Tesco clubcard or Amazon history.

It would be relatively easy to profile someone with a snippet of that. Who is to say that all this information won't be used for some other reason further down the line?

Hopefully facial recognition means I won't get ID'd anymore, fingerprints mean I don't need a bank card, and Amazon and Tesco deliver my goods without me needing to actually order them myself.

    Just kidding we're absolutely *
