Will be sorely disappointed if Hot Pie isn't on the throne next episode.

 

Small signs, yes. But it feels too rushed. There's been no build up to this. Lazy writing and too much of the budget blown on effects (although it does look stunning).

A massive disappointment for what has been a brilliant show.

 

Yep. I think pretty much everyone agrees that her turning mad queen was likely to happen, but it just happened far too quickly.

Listened to a podcast and a guy on it said why not just have Dany's army struggle to take over King's Landing, maybe Drogon gets wounded, the city hasn't surrendered and she starts to panic. Thinking all those years of building her army and her dragons growing were for nothing. So she just thinks "* it" and goes mental. It would still be rushed but it would make far more sense. As opposed to going street to street, killing innocent people after they had all surrendered. It made no * sense at all.

Can't get my head around anyone finding that twist completely earned.

 

They shouldve made a spinoff with arya and the hound just goin aboot westeros leatherin kunts

 

Seriously people need to get a fkn life.

Change the plot to what? The fkn old tadger who wrote it cannae be arsed writing anymore of it, at least someone is.

Folk take this too serious. It's a tele programme, just watch, enjoy and move on. Probably the same gimps that are about 30 and still watch the wrestling.

 

They haven’t had the books since season 5 and we’ve had a handful of the best episodes of television of all time.

 

I’m sure plenty of people who watch GoT and are criticising it watch wrestling. But not all of them do, myself included.

Personally I think being invested in something for almost 10 years only for it to completely fall apart at the end is extremely disappointing. If you don’t feel the same fair enough, but think some people are just being snidey * for the sake of it.

People are allowed to get invested in something without being “gimps”.

I think next week we will find out what varys had in the rings ,some drug to induce the kind of paranoid bloodlust Dany was experiencing, given to her by the wee girl who worked in the kitchen I'm gonna hazard a guess varys was behind aerys II decent into madness also

 

I was banging on about this from season 7,its stopped being game of thrones since then,but evenn 7 was better than 8.There not following the books anymore.So were left with cheesy storylines & character storylines & interactions,to please everyone n there granny now who watch it,its tht main stream now.The creators are scared to kil any main characters,no theon n tht other lady dont count.

Stil one of the best shows on telly with 6 strong series,i wont let the last 2 spoil it.Cant wait for the last book.I hope with spinoffs they dont ruin the entire brand.But its a billion dollar brand now,so thel do what they want with it.

Just an honest assesment from a got fan.If you like marvel movies youl lik the new got,just not for me.

Quite gutted at how things have all unravelled on the show.

I'm just trying to keep upbeat and remember that my Gran bought me tickets for the WWE at the Hydro in November for my 30th birthday.

Hmm, he's sort of missing the point on some things. It's not a case of fans not getting what they wanted - albeit I'm sure some feel that way. Again, it's because everything has been a rushed mess.

His last point about Dany is just absolute nonsense.

Also, GRRM has said himself he's not as involved as he used to be. He's too busy writing his books.

 

For me it’s absolutely people not getting what they wanted.

It’s been 10 years or whatever of build up and a massive gap between the end of season 7 till the start of season 8. So people have had all that time to think about mad theories and how they want to finish it. People are going to be disappointed.

It’s not as bad as people are making it out to be. Making a petition is the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen.

 

The petition is pathetic but I don’t think it’s about people not getting what they wanted.

I think it’s about fans investing nearly a decade into a show for it to get completely butchered by the show runners so they can move onto their next project.

Everyone knew Danaerys would turn into the mad queen and that Cersei would die. The way both happened though was ridiculous.
