I’m relocating from Edinburgh to Newcastle for work at the end of the month with one of my mates and was wondering if any members on here are from/live there and have any advice about living down there etc. I’ll be staying in the quayside area with which I’ve been down to before and know is pretty lively with bars and restaurants etc.

Managed to find some info online about a CSC and joined their Facebook group so that’s a start I guess.

Any advice/suggestions etc are appreciated. Cheers!

    @CH4 @Drakhan

These lads might be able to help you.

There's a CSC based in the city centre, not far from Newcastle's stadium. It's likely the one you found.

It's a decent city with plenty to do, imo. Portofino restaurant is good, if you like Italian.

Irish Centre is just round the corner from St James Metro station

    Welcome to the Toon mate

As you know great wee place and a great club Tynside No 1 which runs out of the Irish centre

A bus does run to most home games

Most games shown live on in the Irish centre as well

Few guys in the club on here

    Enjoy

    Thanks mate!

Aye that's the CSC I joined on Facebook. Sure I'll be in there quite a bit for the games once I'm settled in.

Class! Are there usually tickets for the games available from the guys running the bus?

    Cheers.

If you fancy a trip to a game need to let the bhoys know in advance if you want a seat and a ticket for what ever match the bhoys will try and help you out, if you have your own ticket just need a seat then

If you don’t become a member it’s a extra fiver a bus and they will want paid in advance as in past been let down many times , I transfer money into an account so it’s straight forward for me

Now and again a few live bands organised in the Irish centre last being Charlie and the bhoys

    You will enjoy it mate

@Smithy you had any contact with the Tyneside CSC yet? If you PM me your contact number i'll get one of their committee to get in touch with you if you want. They run buses to most home games and when they can get tickets attend aways also.

The FB page will see you right with contacts and so on, if there’s a televised game on the Irish centre
You might get 1 or 2 of the committee Bhoys in , some travel to away venues regularly as well

Every few months or so at home games the club will visit another CSC they normally turn out a great day
So a lot too look forward to

Not a single one yet bud lol although I have been rammed at work so not been out that much. Gonna go to the Irish centre for the cup final next weekend. Don’t know what’s going on but there was some uproar with their CSC and they’ve went and deleted their Facebook page!

Wee bump. Settled in now down here and quite enjoying the change tbh.

The CSC re-formed and I'm going on their bus on Saturday for flag day, long day but should be class.

Seems so, there's a new committee in place now anyway. I'll find out more on Saturday about what happened.
