I'm English. Born, raised, and lived in Southport, Lancashire all my life (apart from about 5 years working away between 1986 and 1996).

I've supported Celtic since May 1972, when as an 8 year old, I saw highlights of the Cup Final win over Hibs, shown during half-time and at full-time of the BBC coverage of the FA Cup Final. At my school it was the norm to adopt a Scottish team to go along with your English team, so I chose Celtic.

At the time, I knew nothing about the history or values of the club, but as time went on, and I understood the culture, then Celtic became more than just my other team.

Scottish but my half brother is from Derry, so I’ll identify as Irish for staunchness. Transirish.
