Great thing about my job and the decent weather is I can put my supported individual in his wheelchair and walk to my heart's content.

Already covered about 32km in just over a week.

That last one was more than 10.8km. clearly was losing GPS at times and it was just measuring straight lines when it found it again.

Anybody else got the walking bug?

Do a lot of walking, can't beat going for a trek up the hills or along the canal/river, preferably in nice weather and usually with a wee swally. Got the bus up to Strathblane the other day and walked up to Balloch, got the train back. Took maybe 5.5 hours. Think on Friday gonna walk from Maryhill up to the Beech Tree pub/restaurant up the west highland way.

    I'd rather take the bus.
And so what if I'm contributing to global warming and my actions are killing some polar bear.
My thinking is, polar bears are wanks and they kill seals.
So take the bus and kill a polar bear.
SPT buses should use that as their advertising slogan.

I live a 5 minute walk from the beach , not the touristy one but the more rocky rugged coast line between ayr and troon .
Lovely walk on a nice day , done it when the sea is battering you as well .. bracing is the word . I have collected some cracking driftwood that are now features in my garden and all the bricks and rocks in the rockeries came from there as well .

Not much walking, struggle to do nine holes on a small local golf course and I’m band form all other exercise.
Used to love walking. Still do short walks on uneven ground, as good as physio to losses the leg muscles.

Nothing beats a big long walk for clearing your head and making you feel good. Haven't had much of a chance to do any walking recently but hopefully get back into it once uni is finished for the summer.

    Love walking.
Just in from a long walk that ended up as a jog when I came across some creepy wee stick huts in the woods haha!
