    So bitter it's untrue..

When they play the huns and win it's all what a side they are blah blah blah. When we win it's usually Scott Brown's fault or Lustig. Now he's moaning about singing. Played for the huns and never heard him or Boyd tall about sectarian singing then. Or when his sheep fan's are giving it to the huns themselves. I will wonder why....

They've gotten away with shockers against us far too often since he's been with them. Even McGinn done a knee high challenge at Pittodrie unpunished again that we won narrowly 4-3 this season....no thanks to anyone but us..

Hope he gets back before the season but can't see it.

Has played a very important role in our season up until now.

CELTIC Football Club can confirm that Ryan Christie has suffered multiple facial fractures following the incident during Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden.

Ryan is scheduled to undergo surgery on Thursday of this week. We are not able at this stage to give any specific indication on a timescale for his return to action but, of course, everyone at Celtic wishes Ryan all the best for his full recovery.

Ryan would also like to thank everyone sincerely for the many wishes of support he has received.

Season done then, shame for the boy given how he had turned things around and was one of the first names in the team.

I said on Sunday and I got shut down, it was not accidental. He runs for Christie and puts his head down and jumps right into him. It was deliberate.

Utterly disgusting challenge, wreckless and out of control, knew he had no chance of winning the ball.

First comment in bold - totally agree. It's a pathetic deflection tactic to even bring up this previous challenge. But deflection is what they do best when things aren't going their way!

Second comment in bold - I'm still raging at that challenge on Edouard and it remains one of many reasons I don't think McKenna should ever be considered a potential transfer for our team. A player who would resort to rash, thuggish tactics like that is not a Celtic player. We are about quality, passion, and discipline. He is none of those things.

Anyway, back to the topic... a speedy recovery to Ryan Christie! Truly an awful and unnecessary injury.

Can see him back for the final wearing a ‘phantom of the opera’ mask!

It’s getting worrying that ALL the other clubs we have to play, lack the footballing skills to actually play us at football...

They are increasingly turning to thuggery because it’s their only option and refs will let a lot of it go unpunished.

Hearts will be using the same tactics on 25th May.

The key in what you say and your 100% accurate is he knew he had no chance of winning the ball. It was a disgrace of a challenge and merited a straight red not the second yellow that he was given.

A real shame that he’s likely to miss what will be a momentous final in our history given how much he’s contributed to the cause this season.

A guy that was a few months away from being allowed to talk to other clubs regarding a free transfer was given his chance due to injuries and not only did he grab the chance with both hands his inclusion in the team transformed our season imo.

    Haste ye back :50:

NEIL Lennon has told Celtic TV in an exclusive interview that Ryan Christie won’t play again this season.

The Celtic midfielder suffered multiple facial fractures following a challenge by Aberdeen defender, Dominic Ball during last weekend’s Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden. The Hoops player was stretchered off, while Ball was dismissed after receiving a second yellow card

Christie is undergoing surgery today (Thursday), and the Celtic manager admitted the player will miss the rest of this season as he recovers.

“Ryan has multiple fractures of the eye socket, jaw and cheekbone,” Neil Lennon told Celtic TV, “so the prognosis isn’t good for the rest of the season really. He’s had a great season, he’s a huge player for us and it was a really horrendous collision.”

The manager explained that, had it just been one fracture, the player might have returned to action before the end of this season.

“With it being multiple fractures, it’s going to take a bit more time,” he said. “We just have to look after him as best as we can and get him back for the start of next season, and we wish him a speedy recovery.”

The injury to Ryan Christie was a blow to the squad, and the only negative from an otherwise positive day at the National Stadium.

“It was a dominant performance from start to finish against a very good side,” the Hoops boss said, “so it speaks volumes for the character of the team and the qualities they have as well. But for a semi-final, they made it look very comfortable which it never is.”

Gutted for him and us. The team is just much better with him in it.

He's been involved in most of our better performances this season and absent from many of our stinkers.

Important that Rogic gets upto full speed and stays injury free til the end of the season. McGregor, Broony and Tam are going to be our top 3 in the centre.
