Late this morning me and Ruby Roo flushed a cool Short Eared Owl,it flew up and off and around at close range. Then 5 minutes later i got another view of this splendid bird this time in migration mode as it circled for a short whilie and flew off torwards and over the sea:giggle2:

Off to the North Wales Moors and Forests tomorrow morning and the weather is outstanding for birds of prey, so watch this space.
Also today after doing the effing lawn I planted some Wild flower seeds to attract bees and Butterflies which would please one of my best pals on here:56:

I spotted a Red Squirrel on two days in a row , and I've continued to see lots of Ladybirds . They have been on the go for several weeks now . Since they first appeared , there's been a day of snow and many frosts too .

Thank you for your thought good friend. I've not did my lawn yet but the only thing that makes me look forward to it, is when I'm done, There's usually a few Robins, who descend into my garden, and look fro food. I always throw them some meal worms etc. I also plant wild flower seeds, but I like to stay away from their upkeep as I'm fukin' terrified of it's inhabitants.:56::56::56:

Very quiet on my local patch at the moment, these cold easterlies not helping. This morning while out with Ruby Boxer of course i heard the alarm call of the local Green Woodpecker and a female Sparrowhawk flew right past me.
But as the week rolls on into the weekend far more Migrant friendly light winds are coming,so should be plenty to report..

My daughter loves all birds, and is an amatuer photographer and
likes nothing more than capturing birds. One afternoon a few years ago. she was trying to shoot a Whitethroat on the banks of the River Clyde. The bird wouldn't sit still for even a second. After about 45mins, she gave up, cursing the Whitethroat. I thought it was hilarious. She did eventually get a good shot of one at Hogganfield Loch. She still shakes her head to this day when this bird is mentioned.
