Man City legends. Are they all not playing for them just now ? Or was it 11 dross players that done well to avoid relegation ?

Paul Scholes pass in that game was something else, even in his mid 40's he's a genius on the ball.

There was a goal Assombalonga scored in Boro's first game of the season where he took it really early and caught the keeper out and I immediately thought that's down to Keane's influence.

Robbie Keane insists he DID support Celtic as a youngster as he laughed off Robbie Fowler's playful 'boyhood dream' jibe.

A man of many clubs, it became a running joke that Republic of Ireland legend Keano would describe signing for his new employers as a "dream come true" after representing the likes of Liverpool, Celtic and Tottenhamthroughout his career. The 42-year-old even admitted he fulfilled a life-long ambition by joining LA Galaxy in 2011, insisting he "always wanted to come and play in MLS."

Now retired, Keane took a ribbing over his undying love for so many teams on the We are Liverpool podcast as Anfield legend Fowler joked: "We've all read the interviews, when you signed for Liverpool you were a supporter growing up, when you signed for Celtic you were a supporter growing up, when you signed for LA you were an LA fan

Keane - who spent six months on loan at Parkhead in 2010 - took the banter in good jest though, as he opened up on his strong connection with Celtic. He said: "I can never understand this! In Ireland, you are brought up, as in like, you are given Celtic. That is just the way it is.

"And there you always have an English team, that is completely normal in Ireland. You ask anyone, you'd have loads of Liverpool fans now going to watch Celtic games, so that thing of being a fan grew legs.

"You are brought up Celtic, you are actually given Celtic, and then you pick your team in England. It was great, it's a fantastic club, playing in front of them fans is hard to describe.

Liverpool and Celtic fans are very, very similar, in terms of the atmosphere and noise in the games. It was a really great experience that I really enjoyed, I was only there a few months, but having the opportunity to play for Celtic was great.

Upon joining Liverpool in 2008, Keane declared: “I would specifically like to thank [Tottenham] chairman Daniel Levy for understanding, that, as a fan, joining Liverpool is a lifelong dream of mine and one I couldn’t let pass me by.”

But after moving to Celtic Park on loan two years later, the frontman told the world: “It’s no secret over the years I’ve been a Celtic fan… I always wanted to play for Celtic.

I thought part of the reason he always got slagged for that was people mixed him up with Roy Keane, Roy Keane said he was a Spurs fan but I think people seemed to think it was Robbie Keane cause he played for them and then he said he was a Liverpool fan when he joined them and then Celtic fan joining us and people thought he supported Spurs, Liverpool and Celtic when he never supported Spurs.
