Why? Surely Kennedy has been picking up a lot of experience from the various management teams he has been working with. Im not saying Kennedy would definitely be a success as manager but he must have gained a fair bit experience by now and will gain more working with Lenny. It looks like he is being lined up as the next manager after Lenny or whoever is going to be our permanent next manager.

To be a successful Celtic manager, in my books you have to be both passionate
and a man's man. Kennedy I think is neither, he is too bland and nondescript to be a successful Celtic manager. He might be a success somewhere else but definitely not at Parkhead.
Some people were saying the same about Chris Davies being manager of Celtic after Brendan. But it was just a figment of their imagination.Nothing concrete there

I think if we get someone from within Scottish football they'll be getting telt what to spend. Whereas with a manager who is from the continent may have certain demands from the board before taking the post. Lenny may also do this and the board will have to seriously consider him if he brings home the treble. At the end of the day we're all Tim's thank *.

Marco rose is really the only name of any calibre we could take.
Please * no to John Kennedy and Neil Lennon.

Some fans blinded however will lap it up if "Lenny is here for the 10" while the board will be ruibbng there hands together as they get a cut price manager with cut price budgets and keep fans on side

I'll never understand this line of thought. You're talking about a manager who has been successful here previously and you're talking about a hypothetical situation where he's been successful again (unless you think he's going to get the job without a successful spell as caretaker).

I think people are often drawn towards change/the unknown simply due to the excitement factor that's associated with something shiny and new. Ultimately, every manager we bring in carries a degree of risk uncertainty. They could flop like Deila or unearth an abundance of hidden gems and revitalise our fortunes in Europe like......Lennon.

    What is the Peter Principle
The Peter Principle is an observation that the tendency in most organizational hierarchies, such as that of a corporation, is for every employee to rise in the hierarchy through promotion until they reach the levels of their respective incompetence.

The above is the reason Kennedy shouldn’t be ‘lined up’. The Huns tried to do it with Sally and it was a riot.

If Kennedy is a fantastic assistant manager then he should remain an assistant manager. If he wants to be a manager then he should do it somewhere else first.

Lennon had one great European campaign; the rest were middling to poor.

He also blew a league title, and won only two cups out of a possible nine.

And some people are clinging on to the past for the sake of sticking with what they know.

Salzburg's footballing operation backed by Red Bull is the main driver for its success.

Would Rose have the same success backed by our PLC etc..

Genuine questions, is he that much of an innovator? Would he be able to take us to a different level and would he more of a gamble than Lenny?

Didn't know too much about him, so had a read up.

He comes from the same kind of background as Jurgen Klopp, and managed reserves etc round about the time he was there, or there abouts.

Looks like he tries to play the same way as Klopp, and as far as I'm aware most BIG clubs around the world want to deploy this kind of football.

Press high, win ball back early, attack attack and attack.

Can see why Salzburg are doing well, and why clubs want this Rose guy, and others in the "Klopp Mould".

@JC Anton meant to say he was at Mainz - same club Klopp started out at with management, and Thomas Tuchel etc.

His Salzburg team have also been better in europe than us on a similar, some places state lower, wage spend than us.

Aye he is more of a gamble , never managed outside austria, doesn't know the size and expectations of the club and unless he's bringing in really top drawer signings its a wonder who he would bring in, it could go the way of deila and le guen pretty quickly ,we have a settled core squad used to winning i'd be reluctant to change much of that.

Gerrards going the same way , partly because he's never managed before and his signings are * ,players not playing for him or both.
