Training with the first team this week.

 

Lennon clearly fancies him, he was part of the midfield trio he raved about and tried his best to get him back to Hibs which he did in the end. I could see Lennon using him if it wasnt for the fact he had signed this pre contract. For me if we see start seeing him in a Celtic team before the season is out it could be the beginnings of them trying to wriggle out of this deal somehow, otherwise there is zero point in bringing him in from the cold, especially with the amount of options we have not only in the first team but with youths coming through.

 

Fancies him for Hibs, aye. Probably won’t for Celtic.

 

Possibly but it's seems to be more than a coincidence Allan has shown up really well for the reserves recently and with Lennon in the stands for the last game he is up with the first team and not even in the reserve squad today. With the fatigued talk I could see him around the squad against Dundee. Obviously he signed this pre contract but I'm in no doubt Lennon would have been keen to keep him.

 

If he had not signed for Hibs I think Lennon may use him to see if he could cope and possibly keep him, but there is no real use in using him

 

I agree so it will be interesting to see if he does use him.

He's so slow on and off the ball and just sits near Broony. Totally pointless when at Celtic Park especially or trying to break team's down..

Allan is a bit more energetic and can play a killer pass, set pieces and generally be more useful to us right now with other's out..

 

think he will be match day squads/on the bench but cant see him getting much if any game time

 

Allan to come up and score the winner against the Klan on the 31st.

Brown and Bitton offer zero penetration, and they both sit so deep that Boyata and Ajer are essentially eliminated from the game.

I would prefer to play one of our academy players in place of one of them, but I would settle for Allan.

 

While Rogic, Mcgregor and Ntcham are out we need someone in AM role to create chances. Hendo is decent and has potential but games are passing him by without creating too much. If Allan can come and improve the side, I don't care if he's off next summer. Weah, Burke, Toljan and Boyata are off next summer and we're using them over youth players. We've got a title to win.

 

Broony has been to be fair but your post is where I'm at..

We should be playing guy's with more zip in the middle..

Our best performances this season were when we effectively had 3 number 10's in the middle and barely needed a sitter.....nevermind 2..

 

The confusing career of Scott Allan is set to take another twist, with former mentor Neil Lennon vowing to restore him to Celtic’s first team ahead of his return to Hibernian in the summer.

Allan has played for seven clubs in as many years as he has struggled to fulfil his undoubted potential. His most consistently productive spells, though, have been at Easter Road.



I’d like to give him some game time between now and the end of the season but because he’s been short of it I can’t risk him at the minute,” Lennon said.


“There could be a chance of him breaking down. He’s played a few development games but I would like to give him a little run if we can get over the line [in the title race] as quickly as possible but there are no guarantees with that.

“If the opportunity comes along then I’d love to. He’s training well and having a go at it and it’s a difficult position he finds himself in. I would like to give him some game time and a few others as well.”

I was for giving him a shot last week and Sunday with a few midfielders out but giving him a run when we've won the league getting him nice for Hibs?

Nah..

When the league is won how about we get McInroy, Henderson, Okoflex and other's involved instead. The future.....and Allan isn't..
