I would be happy if Clarke did take the job next year

He's already said his "next job will 100% be down south"

Thanks for letting me know. Pity though, hope he changes his mind. Think he would be great in Europe for us.

What someone says, and what someone does, can be two different things entirely.

He was an absolute wreck after that mob singing abuse at him in his job just now, how do you think he would cope with it at Celtic?

I suppose it comes with the territory. I think he would be unruffled with it. Clarke
does not strike me as a shrinking violet. I would still prefer someone forward thinking like Marco Rose though
    if push comes to shove.

I would rather keep Lennon than Clarke tbh. I just hope this Martinez talk is a load of * as he is useless.

Clarke is a cracking manager but after his words on bigotry or whatever he spoke about for being glad he was glad he left Scotland, he would crumble under intense pressure imo

Rose i voted for , would take martinez , feels like going back under lennon, in my opinion .

Hope Clarke stays with kilmarnock for another season. He's a decent manager and Scottish football needs all the help it can get.

Lennon is a great motivator and decent manager, but I'd love for us to push the boat out and look to make substantial progress as a club. Lennon and Kennedy are still relatively inexperienced in how top clubs (bar us) are run.

Delia was a gamble but he lay the foundations for Rodgers and now Rodgers has left a platform for anyone, within reason, to take us forward.

I love Lennon, but I think as manager I think he is "one of the lads" type of manager, which I don't like, it's good to have a bit of banter etc but if you look at our successful managers down the line they have been authority figures to the players, it brings a professionalism in terms of mentality.

If you genuinely think that Lennon does not hold any authority in a managerial position, then you should start thinking...

Exactly a guy who served under O’Neill and Strachan

“two guys who whilst not ruling with an iron fist and where always approachable you knew when you crossed the line and even guys like Johan, Bobo and Sutty wouldn’t dare answer back”

Neil Lennon speaking at a hail hail night I was at!

He is of the same mould!

If it’s true we got £9M compensation for Rodgers then there’s no reason not to push the boat out. I think Marco Rose is a bit pie in the sky but I’d love Phillip Cocu to get the job.

If it's true that we got 9m for Rodgers then maybe we should also start developing managers to sell them on!

Apparently, we contacted Clarke when Rodgers left and he wasn't interested.

I'd be happy with Lennon to see us on to Ten. That's all for sentimental value though, and I do firmly believe he can achieve that.

However, going long term forward, for me someone a bit more like Cocu would be interesting. Done well in Holland with PSV, wealth of knowledge and contacts from his playing days. Didn't work out for him in Turkey, but Fenerbache are a tough job to take, since he has left them they have only won 2 league games (I think), so clearly larger issues at that club than just Cocu.

Young(ish) anager at 48 and will come with a proper footballing style.
