    All joking aside teazy

Lawwell said in 2015 “their is no stockpile of cash anywhere for Celtic”

2019 - there is over £40m by time you take the finance available etc

We do invest every penny we are a plc we are accountable to the shareholders.

£59m annual wage bill for the full club as a whole that needs to be reduced and will be with Fraud and his cohorts away and some heavy earners like Lustig, Boyata and Sinclair possible away in the summer.

The biggest wage at Celtic is paid to Peter Lawwell.

How is having £40 million in the bank "investing every penny"?

Listen you won’t get a disagreement from me. His 104% basic wage rise when Rodgers was appointed was a joke. His £2.3m bonus unreal that’s more than we spent on any player outwith Edouard since August 2017!

Because that money is avialable to the club, we can spend it. We shouldnt spend all of it, maybe a third of it at any time but it's only wise to keep a decent amount in the piggy bank in case of emergencies, we run a silly high wage budget and so any drop in income can be compensated for by the money we have in the bank. We can't just go spending 20, 30 or 40 million because we would only be one or two * seasons away from financial trouble.

Best to keep trying to add to the pot, little by little and making smart investments into the first team sqaud and our youth. A healthy bank balance means a healthy future for the team, one of financial security and certainty. I would love us to spend big on the right players but the risk is we spend big on some dross and that's a big chunk of cash wasted that we likely won't get back and ultimately weaken the playing sqaud.

What we as a club have been doing is building up slowly, increasing our revenue and we should be cutting our costs by offloading some fringe players and trying to improve our first team. That largely depends not only on the money we spend but the calibre of player we can attract. Let's not forget some of our best ever players were had for peanuts, Larsson and Van Djik, Wanyama etc, we didn't * huge amounts on those players and they were incredible for us and have all gone on to do well and two of them made us a significant amont of money. Those deals are kicking balls around all over the place right now and we would do better finding them than spending 10million on one player who might not live up to the money we payed and end up selling at a loss, or worse still sitting on the bench and running out their contract.

So you're saying Peter Lawwell was lying when he said we don't keep cash in the bank as every penny that comes in is invested in the club?

Suppose youd have let the last manager * £9m on McKenna.

Ntcham cost near £4M.... Also his bonus is only that big if we reach the CL and make a profit, same for majority of the players hence why the wages were so high last season.

Where is your evidence that Rodgers wanted to spend £9 million on McKenna?

The fact that the money is avialable to the club means it is the clubs and so has been invested into the club, it hasn't been leached from the club for directors, that money has been set aside for the club. It's the clubs cash, it is investment in the club.

You're confusing the term 'investment' with 'savings'.

Cash investments include everyday bank accounts, high interest savings accounts and term deposits.

They typically carry the lowest potential returns of all the investment types.

While they offer no chance of capital growth, they can deliver regular income and can play an important role in protecting wealth and reducing risk in an investment portfolio.

    Money saved is money invested.

Ntcham signed July 17 that ms why I said August mate. But why should he get a bonus of such significance because of the success of the team?
