saw a comment the other day and it brought a wee smile to my face .. " the amount of times over the years we've had the opportunity to bury thae bastarts , and especially since their liqudation and just before we hammer the nail in their coffin …. we cant resist lifting the lid for one last look at them …. and the bastarts slither out " sigh so true .
So !! 31st march no * mercy Celtic drive that * nail in !!!!!!

I get the sentiment behind that, but realistically, there’s no burying them in a permanent basis. As in, there will always be a team playing in blue from southside of Glasgow. We’ve seen that club go into liquidation and from anew. We’re on the verge on winning our 8th title in a town and an unprecedented treble treble. I’m not sure they could be any more dead and buried than they have been for the past 6/7 years.

Neil Lennon and/or Scott Brown have been involved in every trophy we've won since 2000.

Neil Lennon/Scott Brown have been involved with Celtic for 14% of it's history, and between them they have been responsible for 27% of our total domestic trophy haul.

Obviously they aren't the only factor in that timeline, but their combined leaderships have provided the platform for almost two decades which have returned twice as much silverware than the average.

It's a great chance for Lenny, but it's an unenviable domestic task, how do you improve 100% dominance? Or even maintain it? If he gets the job full-time, that first Cup defeat.. knives will be out..

A pragmatic European outlook will be refreshing tho.

That’s my main point in wanting Lennon to get the job mate, I was sick to the back teeth of watching us getting our * handed to us in Europe especially at home. Rodgers thinking that he could play the same way in Europe as in the SPFL was a riot.

The one glaring strength Lenny has over Rodgers is his pragmatism in Europe. For all of Brendan's supposed managerial class, he never got close to Lenny in regards to results in Europe.

That's where a dose of reality is needed. If we manage to complete the Treble Treble it will be a feat that will probably never be repeated.

Most reasonable supporters accept that it's impossible to keep that going, especially if we're competing in Europe and fighting on 4 fronts. All it takes is an off day or a team of bent officials like we seen for the Meekings handball game, to kill off the chance of winning a trophy.

Lennon's record in the domestic cups was the biggest blemish on his first stint at the club. I remember the torture of watching us toiling for 120 mins against Greenock Morton at home. Grim stuff.

To me bringing back some pride in our performances in Europe is much more important than winning either or both of the League Cup/Scottish Cup next season. I'd take the League + Champions League qualification (which would all but seal 10 in a row) then competing for the 3rd place over non-qualification and another Treble next season.

Surprised Rogic is still a bit away given he was back in training last week. Precautionary?

Was only light training then I think mate..

Don't forget he had an operation and his knee was * for month's..

Glad we're not rushing him. A fully fit Rogic destroys this league..

He'll be back starting for the huns i reckon..

I admit it, mate, I wanted us to do exactly that when Ronny came in. Then I didn't learn my lesson and wanted it again when Brendan came in. They say be careful what you wish for and under Ronny and Brendan I got that wish. * me was I ever wrong.

Of the many lowlights, the one I'll never forget is PSG. Glasgow Celtic got beaten 5-0 at Celtic * Park. I never, ever thought I'd see that. We could have had Diego Simeone setting us up for that one and we were still getting beaten; but 5-0, man? Come on to *. That should never happen at Celtic Park.

I admit I still love Ronny and don't think he was nearly as bad as people make out and I can't deny Brendan's astonishing domestic achievements; but when it comes to Europe, welcome back Neil Lennon. * me, you've been missed.
