Moving near Brentwood in Essex next month..
Anybody know the area and if there are any decent places to watch the games?

You gonna be working in London?

20 minute's/half hour either way. Stratford east London or wee gaff in Southend your best bets..

Thanks mate. Not working in London, but if they are the best places then that’s where I’ll have to go.

Anything will be better than watching it where I am now.. 20 minutes from campbeltown.. rangers stronghold here!

Would phone before hitting either mate. Better one's than these for big game's but further away if you make a day of it or show every game :50:

Used to live in Brentwood. There is * all out that way. As McGuire said, Stratford will be your closest.

Aye i stay in Loughton and that's on the central line in to Stratford so can imagine Brentwood being a nightmare as I find myself even here is out in the sticks..

I travel much further past Stratford to watch the game's when out usually though. Was in Lower Sydenham for the sheep game Saturday..

Haha always the same when you want off of it for a spell! Sounds like a good time you have coming up though. Just stock up on ibuprofen, Irn bru and pot noodles and you will get through it :50:

I’ll check those places out, after phoning to check. Probably head in to London for the big games then. Whole point is to get a bit of atmosphere, spent most games on my own for the last 3 years up here.. no Celtic fans around this way! :55:

Not what I wanted to hear! Is there anywhere you went that was good in London?

Edit :Just checked where Stratford is.. is that really the closest! Surely something in the middle of London??

Is that the best place you have found?

I think it only takes 20 mins into London.. so the wife says, so probably not correct

    Will do :giggle1:

Aye venture out then as plenty of spots you can go and see where you like best :50:

Stratford is closer to you than Central London mate. You can get a straight train from you to there..

I actually didn't realise it was as quick as that. Euston and Wimbledon are good for atmosphere on the big game's. Sydenham shows all the game's as well but no really a big atmosphere but full of Tim's..
Just have to give yourself more time to get to the latter 2 on the rattler in..

Stratford is east London. It’s 25 mins on train from Brentwood. Central London would be further away ?

It’s shenfield station I’d be leaving from. 23 minutes to Liverpool st. Mustn’t stop I’d imagine, but it gives me some options. Only 15 mins to Stratford! Fantastic, I’m used to mins drive to get to * campbeltown so I’m loving this

I checked it myself instead of relying on the mrs.. but she was right! I’m in shock. 23 mins to Liverpool st. Stratford is only 15 mins, but I’ll check both of the others out and see where is best. Won’t be every game coz I have young kids.. time leaches :56:

Aye I forgot they had upgraded the lines. Links up with the new crosssrail project. You’ll be able to get from east to west soon in under an 30 mins. Opens up many options for ya. Anyway enjoy
