Our recruitment really has been honking since he came in, it's pretty damning of him and Rodgers that the core of our starting 11 is the foundation built in Ronny's time or even earlier, when they flapped their gums about only signing quality that would improve the first team then bloating our wage bill with * like compper and hendry.

yes the squad needs trimmed ,but we can still carry a good wage bill while adding and identifying more quality, failure to make the champions league just sell a key player.

How about we strengthen the key areas that have needed addressed since Rodgers was appointed, maybe then we will get through the qualifying and not need to sell key players. Crazy I know but I might just work.

It's hard to get a perfect team , maybe Martin O'Neill's overall but Rodgers flooded our team with some great talent middle to front and neglected defense.

This will be the only useful thing this guy has done for our club, and that's getting to absolute *.

Absolute disaster for a * who calls himself the head of recruitment. He must be embarrassed having that title on his office door.

If leceister are really paying us for him then that's * hilarious. Stupid *. They're quickly becoming my favourite comedy club.

Imagine Ronny hadn't signed Simunovic, Ajer, Boyata, Sviatchenko. We'd have probably had to do the invincible season with a CB pairing of Efe Ambrose and Eoghan O'Connell.

It's easy to say that but Rodgers also changed the mentality of Delia squad.

Yes, and it also scared off the refs/media who work together to try and cheat us at every opportunity.

Deila, the quiet foreign guy, was blatantly cheated out of a treble by the referees. The refs acting in the full knowledge that the media were working hard to paint Ronny as some kind of useless idiot, and they would also try and justify their obvious cheating.

When Brendan came in with his reputation/ego, the "honest mistakes" died down for a while. As the refs/media backed off from attacking such a high profile target.

Obviously after a while they realised he was a mental case due to him talking complete * and making idiotic transfers, so the cheating crept back in.

So, the cheating Masonic referees were smarter than Celtic fans and spotted that Rodgers was a mental case long before any of us?

What a difference a week makes.

Plenty of Celtic fans have been questioning Rodgers over the last couple of years. Most of us were happy to turn a blind eye to it while we were winning though.

Look back through the Rodgers thread in the ex-players section and you find arguments all the way through it. Not to mention all the * that has come to light in the last week.

For those who are in love.....
Dembele was in line well before Rodgers was in. Sinclair was a Rodgers signing and long before Congerton..

You could go on and on with how inept this guy has been over his tenure here and with catastrophic consequences at Sunderland and Hamburg..

Compper who has played minimal minute's in a home cup tie to a lower division side in 2 year's. A Congerton deal and the wages are stomach churning..

A guy that didn't bring us a single gem. Nothing outside the box. We refused to let Boyata go for a reported 9 mill to Fulham on the last day because we didn't have any centre backs lined up. Let that sink in. He didn't have anybody on the planet for Rodgers if we'd received 9 mill for a centre half running his contract down and refusing to play in our most important game's of the season..

We were told we wouldn't let Dembele go on the last day unless we had a striker lined up to replace him. We sold him and didn't have a single striker in line to come in..

He's been a shambles and one of our biggest handicaps in recent time's..

He's being and been credited for lazy loan signings from England and club's we already had links with. He's practically been * off and we've gone back to signing gems like Bayo and Shved from outside the box. Something that was fruitful for us before this charlatan arrived with Van Dijk, Wanyama, Hooper etc..

    * help Leicester if he has a major role in their future signings..

Anderlecht lead a host of top European clubs keen to lure Celtic's chief talent spotter Lee Congerton.

Two MLS clubs are also trying to hire the Scottish Champions' highly-rated head of recruitment.

The 45-year old Welshman first worked with Brendan Rodgers at Chelsea in 2005.

Congerton was appointed chief scout by then director of football Frank Arnesen, with Rodgers acting as reserve-team coach.

After similar roles at Hamburg and Sunderland, Congerton joined up with Rodgers at Celtic two years ago and reports on Wednesday suggested the pair could reunite at Leicester.

Congerton may also be tempted by the chance to rekindle his working relationship with Arnesen, who he worked with at Hamburg and is now sporting director at Anderlecht.

Congerton has been credited with bringing a host of talented young players for his present employers, including Odsonne Edouard, Timothy Weah and Oliver Ntcham.

Were Congerton to join up with Rodgers at Leicester, he would replace Eduardo Macia, whose contract at the King Power Stadium expires this summer.

Imagine your sole job is to identify potential signings for a reasonably well resourced football club with a global reach, CL participation and a stellar reputation for developing talent.

Your boss comes to you one day after the club has received a ludicrous offer for a pretty mediocre centre back with a year left on his contract.

BR - "Any decent centre backs you've looked at recently that we could bring in if we shift Boyata out?"

LC - "fuuuuuuck! Knew I had forgotten something!"

I mean, you have one job. Literally one job. Oversee our scouting department to ensure we have potential targets identified in all positions that we can move on if needed. It can't possibly even be that difficult.

If the reason they can’t sell a player with a year left in his contract - with a reasonable amount of time left in the window - is because they can’t idebtify a replacement, then imo they’ve failed their job completely.
