Will end up being some mad out of nowhere appointment like Solbakken if the job isn't given to Lennon.

I'm always wary about bringing in a foreign manager especially at this junction,Moyes, Neil and Clarke mentioned, dont appeal to me so i'd rather have Lennon.

I’d hope the decision is made well before the Cup Final and summer targets identified.

League is 8pts with 10 games to go , the gap should grow but even then it's still a huge gap to try claw back.
The cup anything can happen in that , Win the 2 hun games.

Lenny was involved in getting Ronny brought in, initially anyway, then he changed his mind. I do wonder how Ronny would have fared if he had worked as an assistant for a year or 2 before he got the job full time.

“He was going to be brought in as number two when Johan Mjallby left,” Lennon said. “He came highly recommended, he’s highly thought of.”

Why would Deila have wanted to be a #2? He'd been a manager for 6 years before arriving here, and just won the title at his club, and had won the cup a couple of years before.

Lenny is a legend for answering the call, but to be absolutely guaranteed the job I think we should be looking to finish at least 8 points clear of the Huns, win at least one of the Hun games convincingly and win the cup. That would show our dominance hasn't been halted.

Fail to win any of the remaining Hun games and lose at Hampden and I'd be worried about us going forward. Lose the league (highly, highly unlikely) then the idea would be dead in the water.

A few things bothering me about some of the Lennon comments. 1st a fair few people saying he should be the man to get us to 10inar and then we maybe get someone else in. So the man that started it an possibly completes it should get a pat on the back, a thanks for your service but see ya. That's wrong.
    2. A fair few saying if he does not complete the treble then he's not the man. He's brought in with three games left, one of which he won. But this is not his squad, yes he managed in the spl so should have a fair idea of the team. But fs he has not been training them 5 days a wek for the last few seasons. And with the * in black determined to stop us can he be blamed if in the semi we get a dodgy pen given, a dodgy red card given then sent to the stands fo complaining about and * all given for us so we get put out. Let's be honest it's * plausible in this * league against us. So he shouldn't get the job again.
He's the man for me. A Celtic man who's done it before and is now a bit older and wiser.
Its his previous problems with the board that is my only concern.

From what we know about him I would say because he realised he was making a big step up and he also doesn't have a massive ego. Whatever the reason/s that is what was to happen originally.

Marco Rose currently 5/1 to be next manager m. Second favourite behind NL.

Definitely my choice if we don’t settle with Neil

    Bookies are full of *.

They literally scour fan forums for names, lower the odds to get the punters in thinking theyre getting in at the right time with a good shout... meanwhile theres * all evidence to suggest that Rose would switch to us.

IF ... and its a MASSIVE IF... we were to approach him, we'd need a * of carrot.

BR came to us to 2 reasons. Ego and acknowledgement. He knew that a move here was a low risk prestige piece. Move here win a few titles, massage his wounded ego and get his name ringing out in England again. Lets not forget no matter how close he was to the EPL title his rep wasnt the best when liverpool dumped him.

Marco Rose's reputation at the moment is sterling. His man management and tactics are lauded on the continent, he's a proven "giant slayer", and hes currenyly viewed as one of the best young managers in world football. So much so his name constantly pops up when global clubs are in need of a new manager... including his name on a list for the utd job alongside Zidane and Blanc.

Whats Lawell gonna offer him? 35k a week and 10m budget per season?

    The bookies can gtf.

Lennon only won 2 out of a 9 possible cups in his previous spell at Celtic, worth remembering.

In relation to Rose its hard, impossible even, to argue against what you've said.

To get him in would tell you everything you'd need to know in relation to what the board or DD directly has promised him.

After Lennon I don't see anyone who is honestly realistic in getting in.

Unless there is monumental collapse akin to 2005 then the league is done and Lenny will get the job.

8 points isn’t much imo we had a 5 point lead with 4 games to go in 2005 and still * it!

They need to win all of their remaining 10 games to have any chance and their record against the top 6 is abysmal.

3 wins from 12 games vs Aberdeen, Killie and Hibs this season.

Can only see the gap growing tbh.
