McGregor, Brown and Forrest have repeatedly shown they are good enough to play in Europe over the years. You are talking out of your hole.

Brown’s passing stats completely fly in the face of this nonsense. Woeful, woeful post.

pure nonsense, calmac had an off night last night but he’s been class all season European and domestically, also Forrest was one of our better players as he was at least driving at defenders and trying to make things happen, didn’t come off though.

4 yard Sideways and backwards passes can skew any statistical analysis. How many splitting forward balls has Broony made, in the last five years combined, in Europe? I’m willing to bet it’s countable on one hand. Also many of his ‘accurate’ passes put teammates under pressure and aren’t clever enough.

Brown never was a technical player. He had a great game against Benfica 7/8 years ago but he was only ever in the midfield for engine. Ridiculous to think otherwise.

Only player we have technically good enough for Europe is Rogic, and ironically he doesn’t have the fitness of Brown to compete consistently.

Said it lots of times now, with everyone fully fit he doesn’t start for me, we are more fluid without him..

The beginning of the end is there, no doubt and no point shying away from it.

Glad he’s here for the push for the 10 tho, his leadership qualities are invaluable.

To me he seemed to be the catalyst for the poor performance last night. First 20 minutes we were comfortable then he started playing balls straight out of play, or passes missing their targets by a large distance and giving the ball away and it spread through the team like wildfire. It was like panic set in and no one knew what to do, and they couldn't look to him for inspiration.

Personally I still feel we play too deep, slow and predictably when he is in the team against better opposition. When McGregor was playing that role we always seemed to be at least 10 yards further up the park when playing the ball out from the back, and we got forward much quicker as well. I think that would suit the pace we have up front in the team now much better, so I think McGregor should be playing there more.

Cant we just recognise we are up against better players and its gonna look bad at times if we try to play our normal game ,it's not individual problems its more a team and tactic area that has to be addressed to match up better .

Side to side 5 yard passing doesn't mean he has good passing. Regardless of what tha5 stat says.

His job has never been to be a playmaker. Completely changing the argument.

His technical ability has long been underrated but if you think he's had one good European game in that time frame then you must be the type of fan that bases their opinions on highlight videos.

    Lol.

I’m his biggest critic but I’ve not once doubted his desire or personality. I’m so happy for him today, that must’ve been a monumental weight off his shoulders, * brilliant :56:
