Quickest ‘tic Player you’ve seen...

Think it’s down to just how * quick Agathe was tbf.

 

I was at a game at Celtic Park, can't remember who against.

Agathe knocks the ball past a player bombing up the wing and I thought, "Uh-oh Didier, you've done it this time, you won't catch that before yer man in front does."

Sure enough, big Agathe proves me wrong and gets to the ball first, couldn't believe the acceleration on the lad.

 

I'm old enough to remember Bobby Lennox he would be my No1 but Agathe was also very quick.

 

Yup.

 

Has to be Willo Flood.

 

He certainly got * to leave the ground the quickest.

 

Obviously people must have misinterpreted the Celtic twitter's "Flood alert".

 

Heard Hartson say the same thing at a Morton Dinner(got tickets through my old work as a freebie)

Agathe... but i think ppl underestimate (and rightly so) how quick samaras *could be.

First time i saw him a cp i was like "woah where the * did that pace come from".

 

Without doubt, in my time anyway, Agathe.

 

I think big Georgeous Giorgios height maybe made him look even quicker, he was defo quick but the big beautiful human being gliding over the park like a gazelle was maybe what made him look ultra quick.

 

I remember at one stage coaching staff were quoted that he was the fastest in the squad over 30 yards or summit.

He defo had a turn of pace about him.

The hun game where he turned the afterburners on and smoked those * for a goal was orgasmic

 

It's hard to compare players from different generations. When you see them play you are comparing them against opposition players of their day, so a player in the Lions day could look lightning fast against the players they were up against. How do you equate that to present day where so much of the training is based around speed?

I genuinely expect if there were speed records for all the players the current fastest ones would be the overall fastest.

 

Be interesting to see a thread for the slowest. Would deffo be voting mastjravich or what ever that big Swedish bus was called.
