    Green Room

Brilliant film. About a band who end up doing a gig at a Neo-* gathering and walk in on some * going down then basically have to try fight their way out with about 40 Skinheads trying to murder them.

Why the * does everyone portrait skinhead's as racist?

The whole Skinhead scene is closely related to reggae.

Anyway...looking forward to watching Green Room.

I think I dig the above post now I've watched the film ;-)

A great documentary about the history of the look and subculture here. Don Letts is one cool guy. Any

I am not a skinhead, but I do like some street punk and Oi!. I have been to a few gigs organised by SHARP in London. Most punks are against racism. In fact, as many of them say, you can't be a punk and a racist.

    Watched this tonight too actually.

Enjoyed it. Not usually a Marvel type of guy but liked it. Thought the end was cool.

Grew up listening to the punk music and now more into street punk and the Skinhead scene as I got older..
Have met people through it from all walks of life and cultures.

Just watched Green Book and it's a really good watch...The humour is great and finishes on a happy vibe.

And not a Skinhead in sight...well worth a watch all be it a slow burner at times.

I am not that keen on the look of it, it seems a bit clichéd and, based on the trailer, didn't seem like my type of humour. I will give it a go at some point though.

I was gonna say in my post that I don't think this film is for everyone.

Especially as it rides along at quite a slow pace..it does build up nicely though especially character wise .

    Lego Movie 2

A well written and concieved sequel by Lord and Miller, who also wrote the original Lego Movie and Into the Spiderverse also. While there is an amount of spelling it out at the end, obviously for the benefit of little kids at the end, which I don't feel was necessary, but get the feeling that the Studio insisted on it's being fitted in. Which is a shame because the film knows it's target audience and it's a case of a studio should be able to trust it's audience especially after the success of the first. Overall though, it is fun and inventive and connects with the first film, building and adapting from it - which ironically is the perfect metaphor for Lego itself, lol.

The one aspect I am a bit conflicted about is the songs - not by their presence or that it differentiates it from the original, because them being included makes sense in the greater context of this film compared with the first. My reservation is just that none of the songs were particularly strong or memorable or enhanced the movie as a whole, and perhaps putting some more time into perfecting these would have made the whole thing better. They could have pinched one or two of the songwriters from Disney for this one, as that is what it was crying out for.

Only the second time I’ve ever watched a film and had no idea what I feel. Can’t stop thinking about it...
