No sure about this Dev. I always thought he was a bit shy and didn't appreciate his attributes. I remember a couple of times he set off for things and it looked like he wouldn't make and then the crowd got going and roared him on and that seemed to give him even an extra yard. Maybe just me getting caught up in it though, willing him on and seeing what I wanted to see.

Said this on here before but I had an interview with Victor Chandler where they asked me to name my world 11 and I put Agathe in and when they questioned me I said it was because he was the best athlete I had ever seen on the soccer field. There were better right backs but I couldn't think of one under pressure( this was the Seville season.) Obviously there have been better since.

Burke is lightning quick, but has to be Agathe for me.

Anybody that fast, with that acceleration is going to be a nightmare to play against. He was almost the complete wing back. If his crossing was better, he would have been as good as anyone in that position. I don't think the defensive side of his game get's the recognition it should. Absolute master stroke from Martin O'Neill, especially at the age he arrived here.

Not sure if he had played there before right enough, before coming to Scotland.

After his leg break he could be like that mate, beforehand though don’t think he had any hesitation.

Surprised Gamboa hasn't been mentioned, but it's easily Agathe for me.

It kind of tells you how much natural pace Agathe had, when you also consider that he had significant knee problems, that Martin O'Neill fortunately told him not to worry about, before he signed.

Sorry guys,as the majority of you know,I’m an auld chunt, seen many speed merchants at the club and the fastest by a mile was Jimmy Quinn who was the grandson of the great Jimmy Quinn.
You had to see him if truth be told,he was that fast even Superman would have trouble catching up with him.

Aye that was the thing with O’Neill agathe and Hartson would have failed our Medicals had O’Neill not stepped in.

Big john told us that at a night he was speaking said Martin told him something along the lines of “I don’t care if you have a hole in your heart (or if they find one) I am signing you John”

Think the high % for agathe shows you most of our ages on here tbf 80s kids!

Agathe without a shadow of a doubt for me.

Burke is quick, very quick for such a big guy.

    Brattback was quick too

Agathe was ridiculously quick one of the best signings MON made and it was very cheap, Bellamy was like lightning as well but not as fast as Agathe.

Can't really recall watching Agathe play so I went with Cha Du Ri. Man was a bullet and * all else.

We should do a re-run of this thread.. who's the quickest bar Agathe?
